Irvin Mayfield extends new invite to Haley

1st provocative statement: Kenny Poo is actually Irvin Mayfield. .............. (haha, kidding there but, wanting to let you all know that even if it sounds like a "lecture below.. I'm having fun.. I enjoy thinking and sharing my thoughts... it is a joy for me to try even if I fall short.)

2nd provocative statement(editted.. unnecessarily provocative at first) I HOPE Haley also gets another chance to play with Irvin again in a informal club rather than a formal theater... I find the jazz on those formal stages not quite what it is in club with dancing/drinking etc. I think dixieland and blues art often more fitted to a a bar or or dinner club or more homey sort of hall
I already tried to use a lot of words that probably fell short of getting my reasoning acrross in the "favorite and why thread".

I'll need to learn to use more analogies and less adjectives (at least some of the time)

Adam Levine's fashion sense!

How could some-one wearing stretched undershirts , worn thread-bare be well dressed? I'm 99% certain that he is regarded as particularly keen in his ability to dress in a way that expresses the "perspective" he chooses to, flatters his human form, and in it's own way is quite coherent and rather precise in how it chooses deliberately to be sloppy.

Now... many might not get past the stretched, worn T-Shirt to admire his "artistry" in portraying an image in dressing. Or maybe you just don't like what he's trying express with the T-Shirt to care if he pulls it off far better than the next guy wearing a shabby T-shirt.

(Dressing , another type of artistic expression , just as singing is a form of artisitc expression... fashion is a visual art and fashion also makes cultural statements)

I'd also go so far that Adam wearing those T-shirt also effects even the audio of a musical performance. People's self image and state of mind is going to come out. More than the audience themselves being influenced by that T-Shirt,.

I bet Adam would look tremendous in a Tuxedo too. He seems like he'd be sure it fit just right and the cuff-links were just so. I'd strongly theorize that Adam Levine performing his songs in a Tuxedo would be thrown slightly off his game.

I'm not even talking about how the audience would perceive it differently,

I'm talking about small changes in self perception and need to honor the dignity of the room. Any feeling that he must embrace and honor the formal tradition (out of courtesy that is indeed proper and I am sure that he would display ) would destroy the strength of the songs in they wouldn't express the feel that attracted people to them in the same way.

On November 21, 2013, Grammy Award-winning Irvin Mayfield and the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra will bring The City of New Orleans to The Chicago Theatre. The 18-piece big band will be joined by the legendary Preservation Hall Jazz Band and American Idol alumnus Haley Reinhart to create a unique experience that could only have originated in the birthplace of Jazz, New Orleans.

A little birdie told me this started being bounced around a while back and the recent tweets were just to make it public knowledge.

Funny that both Irvin & Haley spelled Carnegie wrong as Carnigie.
