I don't know, and it's not as though I remember everything they sang, but the Mariah Carey song comes to mind as one with the potential of being blocked.

It just seems odd, I'd hate to see my videos start dropping off, I've put a lot of time and effort into them and besides HF, and Haley Times, we're about the only Haley 'presence' there is .....

I've wondered what might happen to my videos when Haley gets signed. Would there be a 'tightening' of control of her image/brand?

I dread getting that first notice....

I would hope that they see it's purpose, that is to help spread awareness of Haley's talent and to show her in a good light....
(BTW "Sail" has over 800 more views than AI "Moanin'" now, approaching 19,400 in two months, also I've gained almost 500 subscribers in the same time period.... so there is interest just waiting to see what she's got and what's next )

I'm really surprised they can block someone from just covering a song. That's crazy. There is no commercial gain--right? There are people covering songs all the time on you tube. I only once made a video with music--and now have no idea how I did it--ha! Anyway, it was pics of Graham Nash with his song "Simple Man" When I went to publish it --blocked due to copyright. I was pissed. Then a year or 2 or 3 passed and I started getting comments about the video. I was shocked. Now it has over 72,000 views. It's a great song but the vid isn't very good.

Its pretty fuzzy to me, The Eagles & Supertramp seem very aggressive at taking vids down, have a hard time finding songs of theirs sometimes on youtube. Supertramp are near non existent any more on YT. I think they spite themselves how aggressive they are. Supertramp was once considered a super group, but now barely a distant memory. Doesn't help to barely have a presence in any relevant media anymore...

I've seen cover group performances taken down too, so who knows ...?
