Generous of you Buzz, if you are saying you will foot the bill then be compensated, but please consider some kind of way to gauge whether that will happen or not. I'd hate for such a gesture to turn bad.

I think finding out the specifics of the offer's limits, if any, would be wise too

I'm guilty of making an offer I didn't think through. The DVD offer, while at first seemed a reasonable way to sweeten the donations, in reality, the actualization of the resources it would take, would probably not have the actual impact I imagined it would. Harry appreciated the offer, but I agree with him, the potential amount of work outweighed the potential benefit. So Donating for perks will be a more effective way to help after all

You guys are awesome, and Buzz I love your enthusiasm. I have to say I don't have $1000 or even $250 to help with your dream, though. Much less the cash to fly to Chi town again, hubby and I have set a goal of paying off our mortgage this year, and being completely debt free. That means in effect, I'm a poor little church mouse this year, and will only be contributing a small amount...maybe enough for lyrics and a photo at the most. I've reposted that link to contribute all over kingdom come though!!

I'd donate the detention basin next to my house, unless I hear more about the bandshell in Heritage Park. Even though I had to turn down a $4,000 job this morning in a contractual dispute, I could still invest in enough Tick repellent to protect us all as well as all the hundreds I could donate if I sell off all my Haley autographed memorabilia.

I have tweeted things mentioning Indiegogo, crowdfunding, etc that have been almost instantly picked up and retweeted by, I suspect, bots that support crowdfunding sites or the notion of crowdfunding.
