Haley Reinhart's funky a$$ reality project

I didn't say you did, but the implication is that she has these limitations, yet none of the people she's collaborating with, the DJ, the director, the guy who help her set up the acct etc..... also have no savvy in fund raising or social media and we can't forget whomever might be advising her, her mentors, her friends her lawyers....

Anyways, 'beating a dead horse' comes to mind,

As I said earlier, I just want her to help me help her, and am not asking for much....

I have been following everything that has been posted recently, and I'm feeling kind of sad right now. I'm a little surprised at some of the comments I've read. I still fully support Haley, and plan on sticking around for a long time.

And I commend Tusk on all his efforts to kick charge this fund raising campaign. Maybe Haley thought all her fans would jump on board and give, give, give. It might be a little wake up call for her.(although raising over $8k in 2 weeks isn't bad). Also, the timing of Haley going to Mardi Gras with pictures of her partying while we're sitting at home giving up our hard earned money isn't the best.

Hopefully, when she gets home, she will give her full out effort to raise funds for her video!

Haley has such a unique and versatile voice along with such a mesmerizing presence, and I for one can't wait to tell people, "see, I told you so" when she makes it big!! As many have said, it takes time in the music business. Slow and steady as she goes. Have faith!

I hope people understand I'm trying not to be mean spirited, but I had to sit and watch Haley get publicly ignored in the worse way.... I watched her take the complete lack of empathy from people paid to take care of her.

I've watched her smile it away as if it 'doesn't matter' How can it not matter that the biggest opportunity in her life was flushed away by some nondescript group of music industry bureaucrats?

I watched, as you have.... wishing there was something we could do. Well, I'm not satisfied to sit back and passively watch her lose another opportunity. I found out I do have some, just a little, influence, whether through my posts or the YT Channel, or through the friends I've made. So whether you agree or not, I can help and believe have helped.

I cannot watch her flush another opportunity again. There will be no Interscope or 19 to blame

Tusk, I do believe you've helped. I know you put your heart and soul into helping Haley, and it's admirable. I just don't like to see you upset.

Isn't it ironic how the opinions of some people whether valid or invalid can create so much discourse among fans. It sounds as though somebody's trying to create a mutiny. But as much as I hate it I have to agree with some of the discussions I stated once a post that I don't think Haley's lazy and she doesn't want sinker own ship. But I have to look at it in a realistic way that if this whole gig does not turn out right she may be in danger of losing some fans I for one am not one of them. I like the others wish that Haley would be tentative towards her fans because the bottom line is the wheels on the tour bus will not roll without her fans. I respect the efforts of what some people are trying to do for Haley but in reality I don't think it's our cross to bear I will still be here for her as a fan and a admirer of her talents.

I also have to trust WHAT some of her dedicated fans have stated that there is light around the corner something is in the making that good things will come out of this. And I'm not saying this in a negative way but there is also the possibility that some of her fans will become discouraged and have second thoughts about Haley as their artist. There is a possibility also that there could be resentment generated. But it was also said that whether they reach the ground or not that they still plan on making the video. So that should be a source of encouragement right there. But hearing it from the horse's mouth would be uplifting enough to give her fans a shot in the arm not a quick fix but something that will we ignite the spark. But I'm sure there are a lot of fans that feel the same way. all we need is just a tweet or a message something on Facebook that says do not dismay my friends I will not let you down what I set out to accomplish I will do. THOSE words from Haley's mouth would do wonders and that would be very refreshing.

Setting aside funky a$$ reality project issues, I believe that what Haley needs most is to record and release good songs, including a hit song. After sampling lots of collaborators in writing for LU, and participating in song writing camps, she appears to have gravitated toward a few writers and producers that she is comfortable with. She has focused a lot on writing and selectively recording. Unfortunately for us fans it happens behind the scenes and we get nothing until the songs are released. And until that occurs she has nothing to promote.

If and when she does produce a hot song, many of our worries will become unimportant. I keep in mind that her current efforts are primarily in the service of releasing quality tunes. It is not like she is doing nothing. She is still working productively toward her 10,000 hours even if not in front of an audience, and evidence suggests she will be releasing music sooner rather than later.

Tusk, I know you are frustrated.

We're all waiting for that really good Haley news day, and we're all hoping she succeeds, and doing our part to help her.

You've been an amazing supporter, from filming her shows to her vocal online support to supporting her financially, and I understand your frustration as a super fan.

My point is that this is Haley's campaign. It's Haley's responsibility and you shouldn't feel like you could be doing more, or that Haley should be doing more to help you help her. For all you know, there could be rules as to how much she is able to promote. Or she has gotten advice on how and when to promote..or..some other reason as to why she's not out there campaigning for herself all of the time.

Or, she may flush this opportunity. And it may be her own help. But if she's actually not putting her all into something, perhaps that's a lesson she needs to learn.

Personally, I trust her. And I think that at the end of the day, Haley will have a successful music career. (She's starting out well with Ole. I honestly believe that.) And these comments from non fans/trolls will be irrelevant.

Tusk you may not be Haley's manager but you, more than any other, have vicariously filled the void. Miguel has kept the core together but you keep her exposed on YouTube & your efforts are bringing her new fans from all over the world. You da man Tusk in that regard. Without your help, & others, Haley would already be back in the arms of mother obscurity, as so many on these talent shows tend to do.

And I suppose perspectives on Haley's Indiegogo endeavor are about as subjective as personal taste in music but from my myopic point of view its already a win for Haley. Haley is the CEO and she just unveiled plans for the most avant garde musical masterpiece yet, to the annual convention of stock holders. If they don't fund it the lose is theirs & theirs only. If it is funded without her stock holders, & I believe Haley said it will be, they can't take ownership, free load for sure but thats still a lose, they loose. There are many underfunded masterpieces in Haley's vault "So Smooth" "Follow Your Heart" "Let Yourself Be Beautiful" & who knows how many others. Lets hope all Haley's fans will invest, because from my subjective point of view, if they don't the only losers here are the fans. Haley is a winner, maybe not the best promoter or business lady but an exceptional artist, writer & performer, a winner through & through.

I fully understand Tusk’s frustration in trying to help Haley and garner support for her video project and I really appreciate all that he does for Haley as I know Haley and her family do as well. But Haley is just starting out, 3 years does not make a career, and she is young. Haley needs help in areas of marketing and promotion. I hope Haley gets that support through management or a label and I think she will. As Tusk said, Haley should not be alone in this project even though her name is on it. There are others involved and could/should help out.

I also know that these past three years have not been a waste. Each year Haley has advanced her career and Haley has grown as an artist. Maybe with a good label and social media promotion and backing this process would be further along but Haley is moving forward. The main thing is that Haley builds upon the previous year and I think Haley has so far.

This year has just started. There is still plenty of time for the video project to succeed and for Haley to be more proactive. Plus I read new great management for Haley is coming, a new album is in the works and possibly a label. I realize things seem discouraging right now but Haley is planning things. These last posts and discussions have been enlightening and have made me a little sad. But I am still having fun following the dialog on this site and especially finding out what Haley does next, because you never know since Haley is so multi-faceted.
