Rachel What a wonderful job on Haley's Bday vid! I loved the combo of vids--some serious, some funny--some moving and all full of love and admiration for Haley. (@NickandHaley's vid and Himms--really made me laugh!!) Haley is just going to love it!

( I have to be the most awkward person on video ever. Everybody else seems so natural like they are just talking to a friend. I'm so uncomfortable. Thanks for cutting off the very end where I give this exasperated yet relieved look. That was because --Hank said that was the last one he was going to take. HAHA! IF you could see the 20 attempts before the one I sent-it's pretty funny. Hank said I need cue cards. Even Louie the dog was yawning cause he was so bored. He's thinking get it right already Laura )

And I echo Sweet "C's" message: with awareness and perseverence (and I'd add a smidgen of determination), you'll be able to overcome your anxiety. (BTW, Sweet C, it's nice to hear you "chime in"[/align] again!)

Hahaha no problem!! A few peoples videos had a few awkward seconds at the end when they were trying to stop recording, I cut those few seconds out for everyone haha

Excellent, Rachel and thank you.... I'm the same as you, sometimes racked by immobilizing anxiety. Before this whole 'Shindig' I was pretty much a shut in, had difficulty in social situations, usually the guy in the corner, alone, sipping on his coke at parties.... Hell, it took forever to be able to post pics of myself... Of course that changed when I knew I would meet the Social Media savy Ms Cloves in Vegas (and her twittering/Instagramming/Vining/ etc... ), I knew I'd be in there somewhere, and it didn't turn out half bad

The 'cure' it seems, is to be around people who are positive, supportive and genuine. I discovered that on my trips to see Haley and meeting other fans of Haley excited to enjoy her music together, a whole other, positive community. "All of a sudden" () I found myself 'diving in', introducing myself, introducing others to each other, feeling at home with people I had just met.

We are in the same boat in that respect and have apparently found that the "Haley" experience has helped mend these wounds. She may not fully understand the many ways how seeing her positivity and outlook have lead the way for some of us to enjoy the life that was previously hidden from us before.

It is why I have such energy to try and bring this kind of inspiration to others through spreading the word about Haley

Laura, I thought you were very natural in your video. Each of us is our own harshest critic, believe me, I know that for sure. I really hated my own vid, but seeing it in the finished product it didn't seem as bad, and I'm glad I did submit it. Haley does seem to have a way of making us do things we might not do otherwise. It's nice. Thanks, Haley.
