I guess while I'm waiting to transfer my files via wifi (my poor laptop can't take any more files, I"m terrified to delete my Haley files .... yeah it's a problem #digitalHoarder :/ ) I'll try and recall my night.
The night was fantastic, I'd been to the Triple Door before, so as venues go to hear good musicians, this was a good one. They have a good sound system, Casey mentioned that he was impressed w/ the lighting and audio of the venue.
I'd bought two tickets as soon as I found out Casey was coming to Seattle after months of badgering his manager Gina Orr, to get Casey up here. I'm not going to say that I was a factor in getting them up here, but the amount of time they spent with me after the show at the autograph table, in hindsight, I wonder if this is why?
As for the extra ticket? I figured I'd buy one in case someone wanted to come w/. So about a month or so ago, some 'behind the scenes' goings on w/ an acquaintance of Casey's who has relatives in Seattle wanted to see the show w/ me. Long story short, I'd held the ticket for this person all this time, only to find out they were sick and couldn't come #Disappointed. So I asked my Mother if she'd like to come see Casey. She likes both Casey and Haley so she accepted. She knows about Haley through me, but only really knows Casey from AI S10.
A few months ago, I tweeted to Casey and Jacob if they'd be interested in seeing the EMP Museum, w/ Jimi Hendrix/Nirvana Exhibits . Jacob replied a couple weeks ago that he'd be interested, but when it came to scheduling, they didn't have time for it, driving from two cities in Oregon. I wasn't too disappointed, didn't expect they'd accept, I was just excited to finally see them in Seattle.
So we get there early, just ahead of the crowd. The booths in the venue are for four people per table, so we shared our booth with couple other people. The food in the venue is not 'the best' and slightly overpriced. It's a thematically an Asian menu, tending to Vietnamese, as Dinner/Show venues go, the prices weren't ridiculously high
The opening act was a local one, played guitar and harmonica, was entertaining had some nice songs, I was too busy checking my equipment to pay too close attention. The Booths were fixed so there was a feeling of being 'wedged' in, especially if you're fumbling with a camera and lenses.
The show itself was fantastic. They all really shined as they deftly went through their song list including mentions of All About That Bass, Don't Stop Believing, Don't Worry be Happy, Let'sGet It On, even Justin Beiber's "Baby"

The venue really spotlighted the performers, Casey was really impressed. When Jacob and Taylor left to leave Casey behind on the piano, the light manager turned on the 'stars' on a black back drop. Casey looked up, and just now noticed, "Whoa....were those there before?" LOL He was frikking hilarious.
This was the first time I've seen Casey by himself, as in I went to see Haley, and Casey was there too
Anyway, the show was worth every dollar, and then some. The banter was hilarious, they went around the crowd, even asked for volunteers that played the clarinet (because Jacob had a sax so couldn't play bot) It turns out, a guest DID know how to play, so Casey got them to join in on the song while they were in the crowd
So happy to finally get him up here, what a show, they really sounded good, filled the theater with music, just the three of them. Did I mention all three deftly played different instruments, switching throughout? Jacob started playing percussion, even had a hand on the piano, Jacob and Casey switching between Bass and Guitar. Taylor showed some mad guitar skills...
I used a 16 GB file, freshly wiped, I thought it would be enough for the show. Unfortunately, my camera recorded at the highest setting so was full after the 3rd song

What sucked was it died in the middle of ghosts, when they had the lights turned down bluish, casting a cool silhouette of the 3
That was a real bummer, but I caught most of the rest of the show on my phone camera which is significantly lower resolution. I'll see if it's good enough to post.
I'm working on "Great Bright Morning" will get it up soon
