Three weeks from today, XAtlantic! And you get to see both Haley & Casey, plus a lot of other great talent! It might not really sink in until you're there, but does it really matter?

I'm so glad to hear that Jacob may be on Haley's EP. Since it was Jacob who brought Casey to Scott's attention, which then led to Haley being "brought into the club," I ached a bit for Jacob that he wasn't going on tour with PMJ. (Granted, I don't know the specifics of why he didn't; for some reason I think the sax player who went may have been a part of Scott's East Coast group, and he might have already been included before Jacob began playing with Scott on the West Coast. I do understand those commitments, even if I don't always agree with them.)
And, if only it could be Keith! For me, the "perfect group" would be Haley, Casey, Keith, Taylor and Jacob. The combined talent in that quintet, and thus what they (it? a as group) could produce would be astonishing -- and thoroughly enjoyable.

Yes, yes, and -- well, maybe. Obviously, Casey's not in the studio right now, but who knows if he's not going to be adding tracks later. Given that Haley said that she was recording live, I realize that we think that nothing could be added later, but how often does that really happen with recordings? (Unless they are live "in concert" performances.)

Have I said lately that I adore Jacob? There's so much about this young man to admire. I thoroughly expect that, in time, he will go beyond being a studio musician, and/or playing back up in gigs and will become a major soloist, known in his own right (and he rightfully should -- he's truly good!!). But to add to his musicianship that I think we all recognize, he's so humble and is truly in awe of these opportunities that he's getting -- and it doesn't seem to occur to him that it's because he's so good that it's happening.
Did I say that I adore this guy?? The whole Casey/Haley collective will continue to spawn extraordinary talent, I suspect.
