Haleys dress is so pretty...did we determine if it's Alyce Paris? I love her hair color right now too - the darker is fading a little into a beautiful shade for her.

Gourmet creations star at First Look for Charity

The Chicago Auto Show's annual First Look for Charity, held recently at McCormick Place blended a display of sleek cars with the culinary artistry of Chicago chefs and restaurateurs.

The annual charitable event, which kicks off the car show, is a fundraiser for 18 local charities. Proceeds benefitted charities such as Franciscan St. James, Franciscan Community Benefit Services, Boys and Girls Clubs of Chicago, Catholic Charities of The Archdiocese of Chicago, JDRF and the March of Dimes.

More than 40 food stations featured a mix of recipes from seafood and soup to rib tips and ice cream.



Restaurants and food businesses in the spotlight included Adobo Grill, Andy's Frozen Custard, Catered by Design, Garrett Popcorn Shops, Mitchell's Ice Cream and Candies, Real Urban Barbecue and Roy's Restaurant.

Guests visited various stations throughout the show to taste everything from ahi tuna tacos, fresh spring rolls, jumbo lump crab cake and slow braised lamb to shrimp cioppino, Tandoori chicken, lobster bisque and sundaes from Andy's Frozen Custard and Mitchell's Ice Cream.

In addition to the gourmet food offerings, guests were entertained by the Chicago Six, featuring former Chicago Bears Dan Hampton, Otis Wilson and Steve McMichael as well as Haley Reinhart, a Wheeling, Ill. native, who was on the 10th season of "American Idol."
