RE: Haley joining PMJ for part of European tour
Positive review of the London show by MTV UK that included a link to Casey's cover of Stacy's Mom with PMJ
Quote:It’s an aural smorgasbord that lives or dies on the vocalists, and thankfully Bradlee’s quintet of performers blew the Apollo doors off with every note.
Kicking off with a mid-tempo, big band version of Iggy Azalea’s ‘Fancy’ showed off the genius of Bradlee’s arrangement skills; a trend that continued on the distinctly Jackson 5-esque take on Postal Service’s ‘Such Great Heights’, super-sultry, seductive Jessica Rabbit-inspired covers of Blackstreet’s ‘No Diggity’ and Britney’s ‘Womaniser’, a shoobee-doobee-filled performance of Ellie Goulding’s ‘Burn’, and a ‘I-can’t-believe-they’ve-actually-made-this-amazing’ upbeat revamp of Fountain of Wayne’s ‘Stacy’s Mom’.
...Throw in a fittingly evangelical, stripped-back version of Hozier’s ‘Take Me To Church’, a dance-along cover of Meghan Trainor’s ‘All About That Bass’ (with actual double bass as an accompaniment), and the evening acted not only as a suitable platform for Bradlee’s own arranging prowess, but the jaw-droppingly fabulous foghorn voices of his singers.

RE: Haley joining PMJ for part of European tour
Yeah! Only a few days to go until the Berlin PMJ concert - hopefully as planned with Haley! Her schedule is keeping her busy, with Chicago, the EP, Cancun, then Europe. It's a whirlwind! It must be exhausting, and exciting.
I must say, even now I still can't quite get my head around that I may actually see and hear her sing live. It is still so beyond anything that I could have expected so soon. It still seems not real. But now it is close.
So Sunday is the day, if all goes well! If she does come, as expected, I know you'd be more than fully justified in expecting my video! So I have to get this out of the way, I have to let you know - the thing is, I neither have the equipment nor am I in any way technically inclined. My phone has a pretty good camera, but its one weakness is low light, which is when it really gets grainy - big time. It is all standing room, so I guess it would be shaky, unless I paid full attention. Also I am someone who is always very conscious about others and I'd probably be blocking someone's view when I hold the phone high. Don't know - I'll see how it goes! Maybe get just the audio somehow? And then of course there is the thing that this would be seeing Haley for the first time. My impulse would be to just stand and listen and soak it in without fiddeling with any electronics. But thinking that makes me feel guilty and selfish after having had such a great time following Haley "almost as if I had been there" through all of Team HFs amazing efforts, and knowing there are surely others who would like to see how it goes down, and so here I am, my turn, and I am not really managing to deliver. Thought I'd let you know ahead of time! Let's see.
But what I do promise is a full and complete report on how it went and what happened. I am someone who believes in words, that they mean a lot, too, and can paint a picture. I am a books person.
I'll have to be off very early the next morning after the concert on some lecturing travel and need to be sharp that next day, but I'll get to it!
PMJ sells extra tickets for admission to sound check and for mingling with some members of PMJ before the concert. But for 60 bucks and uncertain who'd be there and knowing that musicians probably have better things to do before a concert, I decided against it - Scott trying to make extra money, though, hat tip! Though possibly in a place like Berlin where they're not that well known maybe I'd be the only one, or one of just a few, to have such a ticket! I'll go early and see what's up when the venue opens an hour before the show.
I keep having this fantasy about finding out where and when Haley'll get off of the plane here in Germany, probably Hamburg (if she doesn't come in by train or bus from somewhere else) and there'd be a huge welcoming sign for her saying "Team Haleyfans, European Branch". Not to sneak into meeting her (I am really shy in that department anyway) but to let her know as a welcome that there are people here that have been expecting her - probably many more than even I suspect, judging from all the comments on various channels. Which is just fantastic. Haley is a treasure for more than North America. But of course it is impossible to know how she'll travel and it wouldn't work out on my side anyhow because of various other obligations. Plus who would want to have to look friendly after flying in from somewhere with jet lag hitting! But it would be nice if it were possible
Morgan James ... I find her covers and performances from musicals on YT very impressive, she's an intriguing character, it will be great seeing and hearing her. So after liking her covers a lot I was full of hope that another gem would be on its way when I ordered her original CD. Unfortunately, I find it is leaving me slightly unexcited, somehow it does not get to me very much. I am still hoping a bit it might grow on me, we'll see - but maybe not. Sad to say, because I am still intrigued by her voice. Not in a Haley way, but still. Casey, if he's still on board come Sunday - I'll let myself be surprised. I have always greatly admired and enjoyed his musicianship, his amazing creativity and style and character, but other than that I am not particularly a Casey fan. But if both were to be there ... mind blowing! And on my door steps, almost! It was always all so far away.
Tusk, London will be spectacular, I am sure. Last concert and always special city mean full energy flowing and the exuberance of doing it one more time, as only they can do it. Amazing! It turns out I'll be flying into Heathrow that very night, too, but much too late to join, and will have to move on very early the next morning. I think many posts past you were thinking aloud about shuttles and rental cars and taxis in London ... but of course you don't need any of that in London, on the contrary, there's busses and subways and trains everywhere. You definitely do not need a car or any some such. From the airport take the tube and be like a Londoner and be amazed at how tuby the tube really is, it is so small! I sometimes go to London on short business trips and, lacking the time to actually see much, I sometimes even pick a hotel on the other side of downtown to where I need to go, and then walk through all the streets for an hour or so to my event or meeting, and take in the city that way, and make unexpected discoveries, or include some loops to pass some landmarks on the way. That's a good way to do it. Nothing like coming into an all-day meeting to which others went underground while I walked by Buckingham Palace and across Picadilly Circus above ground, to start off the day, just a bit more slowly. And should you, just for example, want to go to Oxford or Windsor (you can see Windsor castle frequently when coming in to land in Heathrow) you just hop onto a train ... But I think you know that!

RE: Haley joining PMJ for part of European tour
Thx for the advice, my flight comes into Heathrow about an hour before the Subway closes, too close to call, so I'm going to get a cheap room for the night and figure out the system to London the next morning . Thing about using miles is your options are limited.
Thoughts about your Haley show experience. I would hate to think your first experience hearing Haley live would involve fumbling with your phone trying to get video. Especially if you're not comfortable with it. Who knows the next time you get the chance? Of course I'd be grateful for video, but not at the expense of you enjoying hearing Haley live.
Since this stop will be one of her first with PMJ, and knowing the type of person Haley is, I'm willing to bet she, along with Casey will attend the meet and greet. I don't want to guarantee it, but I think if you get the chance to meet these two, I'd take it. They're not only great performers, they are also great to meet. Haley, especially will be eating up the experience of meeting overseas fans. I still remember my first time meeting Haley. I got such a rush, then to experience her warmth and smile. She's one of those who are genuinely engaged with her fans. You can let her know HaleyFans Europe is there to support ( and say Hi from me )
I know you will enjoy the show and PMJ, Haley will sing 2 maybe 3 songs, but meeting Haley would make the night that much more special, you can get a pic, hopefully, with her if not PMJ. As I said, can't guarantee Haley will be there, but odds are, she will, especially so early in her part of the tour. Even better, meeting Haley and Casey together (I think Lynn tweeted disappointment missing Casey at her show, but I wasn't sure she bought the meet and greet), so I guess there's a chance she won't be there, but as I said, I'd be willing to bet she will be, would be a shame to miss meeting her, when the opportunity presents itself. One of those signs imo. You bought tickets not knowing Haley would be there, and lo and behold, yours will be her 2nd show. You 'almost' missed her. She will be giddy, fresh off recording New music and now joining a fun troop to tour Europe. Would be a shame to miss it.
So...don't feel you need to spend your first time hearing Haley live videoing for us , especially if you're uncomfortable with it. Hopefully some other, as yet unknown Halien will deliver video, who is more comfortable doing it. From experience, I know Haley loves it best when you just sit back and enjoy the show

Nothing warms my heart more than my daily, around-the-world moon updates from @CaseyBassy on tour with @PMJofficial
I can really see Casey getting into the visual arts/ film making eventually. He really seems to have a knack, and an eye for it. It seems like it's something that's calling him.
I've been hinting here and there in tweets that he should try a hand at directing a video or short for Haley, hopefully someday, they can find a project that he can do that on
