PS.... I'm working on hopefully being able to 'improve' XAtlantic's video just a bit more... fingers crossed.

Is the audio on the other Berliner's video better? (Haven't been able to check it well because I'm still on travel). Because maybe he'd be open to giving it and then we'd have ok audio plus two angles, which sounds like good. Except of course that it would be work. Just a thought!

As some might remember, chpmem, another Berliner posted many of the performances from that night on his channel, including Haley performing "Habits" in her first show with PMJ in Europe.

Some might have remembered that I tweeted out some of his video's including Morgan James', "Sweet Child of Mine". Morgan 'favorited' my tweet w/ his video, which I let him know on his YouTube channel.

Next day, he followed my Twitter, and thanked me for getting attention for his videos from Morgan as well as others....

As much as I love XAtlantic's vid, I couldn't do enough to the audio to get rid of the intermittent 'buzz' on some parts of his audio, so I thought, since I'd built up some good will w/ Christian (chpmem), it wouldn't hurt to see if I can get permission to use his audio and add it to XAtlantic's video.

Since he followed me on Twitter, all I had to do was follow him, then I would able to send Direct Messages to him... (you can't DM each other unless you both follow each other)

I gave him the same spiel I've given others about letting me use their content.... I would give them full credit, link back to their channel and video, also I told Christian that I would also mention that his channel has performances from the rest of PMJ on his account, sending some of my traffic his way

I thought there was a good chance that he might let me use his audio, but it's always good to ask. I told him if he declined, it would be OK, that my channel is only to support Haley, and it would be nice to have a 'clean' video of Haley's 1st live performance in Europe, and Thank You.

Then I waited for his response...

To my surprise, Christian was incredibly friendly and supportive in his answer...

We discussed some of the other singers, he especially enjoyed Morgan and Arianna's Femme Fatale act... I linked him to Haley's 'creep' clip (his favorite) and Morgan's "Fooled Around and Fell in Love", my favorite cover of hers...

We talked some more about being fans, he commiserated w/ me about the cost of supporting performers, he supports and follows a couple bands too and understood that it isn't cheap. I linked him to some of my favorite Unique Haley performances I've been fortunate to attend including "Don't Know Why" and "At Last" w/ Irvin Mayfield.

And we ended w/ him offering to meet up if I ever am in Berlin...

I can't decide if he knew 'of' me before I contacted him about his video being 'favortied' by Morgan, or he looked up my social media after I contacted him. It's just a bizarre feeling to know that you are 'known' even in a country you've never been to. I 'think' he's just a PMJ fan, that looked me up, but he's definitely a fan of Haley's (Morgan and Arianna more, I think), but he sure sounds like a Halien, and so friendly.... I don't think I've ever encountered someone I never knew who was so willing to help and friendly right off the bat.. which makes me think he must know me from something because of how instantly friendly and helpful he was... the thing about being a 'professonal' fan took me aback a bit, as I expected he would know nothing about me

So yah, this whole thing definitely has all the makings of the signs, once you start following them, things just happen and you go along w/ it's wake... Last time something similar was in NOLA with Irvin...

Anyways, here's XAtlantic's Video, with Christian's audio... I used my audio software to bring up Haley's vocals, made it slightly crisper... (it's Unlisted right now) Watch at 1080P

I also asked Christian, IF the resolution difference is close, can I also use clips of his video, as well. There are some parts of XAtlantic's video where the Spotlight obscures her face... I wondered if I could use Christian's video to help me minimize those instances...As has been the case in our conversation, he told me, of course!, anything to help Haley, such a talented singer.

As you might guess, XAtlantic's video has higher resolution than my rip of Christian's video, as well as the lighting was a mismatched. As with what I did earlier, I decided to desaturate and make the entire video Black and White. That actually helped the look of both videos to intergrate w/ each other.

Christian's video is vertical, which was a problem, if I zoomed in the resolution got worse, but I came up with an idea of placing it in front of instances where Haley's face is obscured by the spotlight.... this is what I came up with (also unlisted) Also view at 1080P

What do you think? Does it work? Or should I stick with posting XAtlantic's full video (keeping the red color) or my integrated Black and White version... Or I could do XAtlantic's video, but make it black and white....

For starters, I like the sound. The audio is better.

As far as the visuals go, I have a hard time choosing.

I think they both work. You did a great job integrating the two videos, and the B&W fits with the old-timey flavor of the arrangement. I'll enjoy watching either one, or both.
