Joey Cook on Idol tonight gave a shout-out to Postmodern Jukebox for her version using their version for her song tonight.

I just saw her giving credit to PMJ for the "brilliant arrangement" ( per Harry Connick Jr comment" of Iggy Azalea's "Fancy" on National TV! WooHoo! I'm so excited for PMJ! Scott is the mmaaannn!

After what happened to Scott a few weeks back (the contestant on the British version of the Voice??) it's nice to see this happen.

Yes it is very nice to see it happen.

I think John really called it right last week with his thoughts about social media keeping the big guys more generous in giving credit where credit is do.

Social media fans protecting one of their own! Just because it was on youtube, not a label doesn't mean its' not on par.

Another thought I had:

Pop music is really evolving quickly...very quickly right now (it always goes through cycles of different sounds but not this fast)

Adeles 21 album with Rolling in the Deep on it is sounding sort of dated only 5 years after it came out.

PMJ's "quirkyness" seems to be getting closer to "mainstream"... at least not completely alien or far out in left field.

Back from my travel ... and again so many pages turned and so many new things happened! Can you believe that less than 3 months ago we were wondering when her PMJ video might appear, and what song it would be? And now she's storming Europe with PMJ, gathering fans and experience and enjoying her art, impressing people on this side. It is awesome all the way.

On the Berlin Lido "Habits" video:

After some thought, I decided to post all 3 of them, but make XAtlantic's one, the original one, my Channel's Trailer video. I think getting the first video up ought to count for something

People can chose which iteration they prefer... the original, the red one w/ Christian's audio or the black & white one w/ Christians's audio.

Thank you again and again, Tusk, for taking it so far for us and H.E.R., it is very satisfying to see it is getting some traffic, for those who know her and want to see and hopefully also a number of new ones that discover her. That's what it is about!

Also seeing that the number of videos showing up is pretty small up to now (maybe it will still change - that would be nice!), I am double glad I took it. Although it was just the raw materials supplied, so much visual and audio intuition from you, Tusk, went into the products that went online. Just great.

But back to the subject matter: I like the b/w video, for showcasing her art. For showing off Haley and what she does, this is the one that flies. On the other hand, as a historical document of Haleys first appearance as a singer in Europe (yes, not counting highschool), I think color is a must - say in 20 years they make that famous HBO documentary "Haley Reinhart - The First Years", they would not put b/w in (though they would also have the glare problem to deal with, hm ...). So that would be for my video combined with chpmem's audio. The ONLY thing speaking for my original version, i.e. with my audio, is the view count and when it was posted. It isn't possible to replace it's audio with the better one without loosing the view could, is it? I expect not. So what I would do is to keep it just for now because the view count might attract some, but 2-3 weeks after the European tour has ended, I'd pull it, give up the views, and just have the color version with good audio for documentation and the b/w for enjoyment. (Sorry for so many words!) Great to have it rolling!

To my surprise, Christian was incredibly friendly and supportive in his answer...

...As has been the case in our conversation, he told me, of course!, anything to help Haley, such a talented singer.

I think, for one, people who go to PMJ concerts are probably a pretty cool selection to begin with - people who know what something "good" is. Second, honestly, people in Berlin are pretty cool folks, too, for the most part, relaxed and friendly and very open-minded. I am biased, but it's is just a great city for the people.

As you all, I am so in love with this, so taken by it ... amazing amazing amazing, fantastic. The only problem I have is: if there is one person who is definitely not creepy, it is Haley! But wow! We absolutely need at least an audio of the full version. Need, like in: NEED.

Lol, what's with that obsession with not using some words? I never quite got that. It is ok to carry a weapon but not to use a certain word in public ... ponder that! (sorry, couldn't resist, just a European view ... of course I know of the important influence of puritan communities in the forging of the US! They were fleeing Europe, of course ...).

I am happy that Haley go to see the Eiffel tower.

Also, did you notice? All discussions of Casey, Morgan and all that ... just wiped away, Caley is so much in evidence, that friendship lools to be really holding even with so many new directions and opportunities. The good thing with friendships is that you can have more than one ... and they all can mean something.

Last thought: I have been asking myself whether I regret that I did not get to see a later concert, when Haley would sing more. I mean, I heard her for exactly 1 song and a few snipets on top. But the answer is: NO, not at all! I am so happy to have heard her, to have met her, to have her liking a photo I took and Tusk processed. To think that she could easily just have joined 1 or 2 days later, too! No, no regrets in any way whatsoever!
