I am absolutely blown away by this. This is so beautifully done. I can't imagine anything better than this right now. Her voice is insanely perfect for this song, and the "vintage" feel to this video and the way she moves is spot on for what they were aiming at doing. I am HIGHLY impressed. Obsessed with this.

Admittedly, I have not seen the entire Internet. So please forgive my ignorance of Postmodern Jukebox. I was made aware of their existence this morning when a friend posted the video of PMJ, with former American Idol contestant Haley Rhinehart, singing Radiohead’s classic “Creep.” This is my favorite piece of music I’ve heard this year.

this just keeps getting stronger and stronger. I thought it had peaked, but it is still gathering steam. Sure would be nice for AI to acknowledge that a former contestant is sitting at #1 on the jazz chart. However, Jennifer probably would rather chew aluminum foil than announce that.

To the extent that is the case then it is too bad for them, and not just with respect to Haley. It is the sign of a dying, old fashioned television ethic and mentality. They were smart let Joey Cook get in a mention of PMJ, and they would be smart to highlight success or excellence in previous contestents; regardless of whether or not they are under contract to the PTB.

Perhaps Ellen will invite them on her show. They'd be a hit.

I agree with you, John. It's merely my observation (that Uncle PB is ignoring prior Idol contestants), but I think it's a fairly accurate observation. I don't actually see the entire show, so it's very possible that mentions have occurred and I wouldn't have heard them. But, thus far, last year's winner hasn't been on the show, and they usually attempt a little promotion of the most recent winner. (It's understandable that they wouldn't want P squared around )
