Folks, we LOVE when people use our music, but when a network TV show with a huge audience rips off an arrangement without a mention, it's a slap in the face to the entire community of talented performers that contribute to PMJ. We would NEVER ask for money from these shows, but we WILL ask for a credit, because it's simply the right thing to do. Please share, and let's fix this!!

I'm totally cool with going after the show.

Of course she knows who Haley is NOW. That doesn't mean she did before she got a ton of backlash over it. And of course she knows that this is likely where the idea for her song and arrangement came from NOW, but that doesn't mean she did when it was given to her.

I don't know how this came about, but I know how the show works. And all I'm saying is it's very unlikely that Kim was the individual to make the decision to use the song or the arrangement and unlikely that she even knew that there was another similar cover out there. These contestants live in a bubble. And it's really not a fair thing to do to Kimberly when she likely had no say in her song choice and arrangement, had no opportunity to talk after her performance, and no control in the editing room for the pre package...and that's if she even knew the PMJ cover existed.

But that doesn't mean The Voice couldn't have sent out a tweet. Or even better, let Christina know (if she didn't) about the original, and have her send out a tweet. Because someone obviously did know it existed.

My point is that, unfortunately, the face of the problem is not necessarily (or even likely to be) the cause of the problem. And shaming her for it, isn't fair or right, IMO. Go after The Voice. If they tweet out credit, it'll mean a lot more than Kimberly's tweets anyway. I'm just saying, it's like going after your waitress when the cook messed up your meal. (Which is what Scott seems to be doing, only going after The Voice. )

Bottom line Scott is obviously upset about it, so am I... She's a woman and artist and in the entertainment industry who should know about creative rights... I don't make it a practice to do this sort of thing... it turns out They did know and they didn't give credit.

She's reaping the rewards for it and I should feel bad for being part of a group that forced her to give credit?

I don't feel bad about what I said or did... It seems Scott wants PMJ fans to apply pressure too..

I expect Haley would probably empathize with Kimberly as a contestant on a reality singing show and give her the benefit of the doubt. She, of all people, is privy to producer mechanizations and being manipulated to being seen in not so good of a light. I place the responsibility squarely on the shoulders of xtina and the producers.

On a side note, Haley s views are rising a little quicker because of this.

drama, drama, drama...Haley still has an incredible voice and we celebrate that.

The world is full of people ripping off others to make money...isn't NBC the home of Brian Williams? When people get caught they come up with all sorts of excuses...this is why we like Haley so much...she's an original Slayer!

I was about to say, if there's a bright side to this it's that the generated Internet controversy will give Creep another surge of views just as things were beginning to die off.
