"American Idol" Season 11 has already seen Season 10 runner-up Lauren Alaina and Season 5 vet Chris Daughtry head back to the stage that made them famous. Now Haley Reinhart, who finished third last year, is returning to her roots to perform "Free," the first single from her upcoming debut album.
The current crop of "Idol" contestants are psyched for Reinhart's performance during the Top 10 results show, they tell Zap2it.
Joshua Ledet admits that he was a huge Haley fan last year. "I am very excited about watching Haley Reinhart perform. Oh. My. Gosh. She is amazing. I just bought her single on iTunes," he tells Zap2it. "Oh my gosh. She sings a-mazing and I cannot wait to hear her. She was my favorite! Her and Pia Toscano were my two favorites on the whole show, and oh my gosh to see her, it's going to be crazy."
That's a lot of "Oh my gosh"-es!
Hollie Cavanagh is equally excited, even pointing out the strange treatment Reinhart received from the judges during her "Idol" run.
"She came out every single week and just killed every single song she did," she says. "And the judges would be like 'Ehhh,' and I'd be like 'Are you serious?! Did you just hear that performance? That was like the best ever.' When she did 'House of the Rising Sun?' Let's be honest. That was just ridiculous. I'm really looking forward to seeing her. She's going to do amazing like she always does."
DeAndre Brackensick is looking forward to reuniting with Reinhart, whom he got friendly with during the Season 10 audition process. "I was a really big fan of hers. That was my season last year too, because I got cut at the top 40, so I got a chance to know her and she was really, really cool. I love her music. I wanted her to win last year. I was rooting for her the whole way!"
"Hopefully she remembers me," he adds.
For
Elise Testone, watching Reinhart perform will be interesting because she keeps getting compared to the singer. "I am excited to see Haley, just because people keep comparing her and I," she explains. "If that is the case, if there's truth in that, I'd like to see where her head's at, how she's doing, how she's progressed. I think it would be kind of cool to see that live. I heard her new album was going to be amazing."
Are you excited for Haley's return to "Idol"?
