RE: 2015 PMJ North American Tour

Especially if you plan to tour 'all the time'. I understand that he's striking while the iron's hot, and there appears to be a global demand for PMJ, I just hope he doesn't saturate the market. There's also the possibility of wearing himself out, what with organising the next tour, mixing and matching performers as well as putting out new videos every week...
Good for him he's making the most of his opportunities, but he's human, fatigue, both mentally and physically, have to be factored in eventually. There's also saturation of the product. While I enjoy many of PMJ's covers, going at that rate, a video per week, there starts to be a 'sameness' that creeps in. They go from being fresh interpretations of favorites to ... meh.
I'm too close to being a fan of Haley's and love what PMJ have done w/ her, but honestly, I will admit to having a 'meh' attitude with many of PMJ's songs that don't include Haley, like the recent one w/ Von. Though it's cute Haley gets background singing cameo, it's not enough of an impact for me to rewatch it more than once
The new vid w/ Von, my first impression was it was an arrangement that forced the 'Grease' sound into the piece, and the vocals? "Caterwauling" came to mind when I listened to it for the first time Of course it's subjective, there appears to be many many people who like Von's (Annie's) vocals, I'm just not one
...there is nothing new under the sun.
This really could be labeled Postmodern Variety Show. We may be seeing a new generation embracing a rebirth of the 60s and 70s TV Network Variety shows. At first when I watched PMJ videos I had that meh attitude if it didn't involve Haley. Even now, that can still happen. However, the whole concept of the variety of singers, musicians and entertainers has grown on me. So, rather than too many videos being a turn off, it could be the reason Scott is expanding his base of viewers and concert goers. Fans may not like everyone, but they want to see their favorites. It's way too early to have a saturation point...he's still expanding the hot concept. As Scott becomes even more popular it will allow him to constantly upgrade his stable of performers...keeping the best for even greater gains. Oh my...that means The Slayer will be featured prominently!

It seems like Scott Bradlee would greatly benefit from cloning himself so he can appear in all the PMJ shows on simultaneous tours

Quite right Buzz, nothing new. That type of entertainment format has been around probably since the middle ages. But, Scott's genius is recognizing that the time was right for it to re-surface and having a gift for re-arranging great songs and having a great nose for talent. I think that Scott is at the forefront of the next wave in entertainment. I would really like to see a PBS or HBO documentary on his vision and product. That Ted x talk could be expanded to an hour or more.
