The song apparently came out around April 16th, possibly posted to JoJo's Facebook account, only to be subsequently pulled.

Nice song but she has to come harder. She’s been away for almost a decade.

Background:

At thirteen years of age, JoJo was the youngest solo artist to have a number-one single in the United States. The lead single from her second album broke the record for the biggest jump into the top three on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, moving from number 66 to number three in one week.

She subsequently had contract and distribution issues:

On June 3, 2009, JoJo stated on her official YouTube account that she was waiting for her record label to sign a distribution deal to release her (third) album. In a few months time, nearly 20 of her songs were leaked through a YouTube channel. In August 2009, it was reported that JoJo filed a lawsuit in New York against her record label Da Family Entertainment for putting her in musical limbo. She reportedly sought $500,000 for her troubles and to be released from her contract.[40] JoJo was released from her contract in October 2009 and a deal was reached with Blackground Records to have JoJo's third album distributed by Interscope Records.

After Blackground Records lost their distribution deal through Interscope Records in late 2012, resulting once again in the delay of the release of an album, JoJo began recording new material specifically for a new mixtape to be released by the end of the year, as she "didn't want to keep the fans waiting for new music any longer".

On July 30, 2013, it was reported that JoJo had filed a lawsuit against her labels Blackground Records and Da Family for "irreparable damages to her professional career". Allegedly, minors cannot sign contracts that last more than seven years under New York State law and thus she claims that as her contract was signed in 2004, her deal should have expired in 2011.

In December 2013 both of JoJo's and Blackground's attorneys agreed to drop the case as both parties came to an agreement outside court. On January 14, 2014, it was officially announced that JoJo was released from her multi-year battle with the label and signed a new recording contract with Atlantic Records.

Joanna Noelle Blagden Levesque says in a lawsuit against Da Family Records and Blackground Records that under New York State law, minors cannot sign contracts that last more than seven years.

JoJo, now 22, and her parents signed a contract with company subsidiaries in 2004 when she was 12 and has sold 5 million records. Therefore, she argues, her contract was up in March 2011.

So she is free of that now. Kind of mind blowing that a contract signed at age 12 can create such a mess for her years later. Seven years is a long time...was the other side arguing it was perpetual or something? That whole story sucks. I hope JoJo does well, especially with her new song from Haley.

While she hasn't had a manager or team to help her, Haley has been smart to hold onto legal counsel in recent years.

That must be rough to record an album 3 times. Same thing happened to Pia. I would be "PO'd" if interscope pulled that on Haley

I hope JoJo does really well with this..for both her and Haley's sake. As much as it has been frustrating at times to watch some of Haley's struggles with the music industry..I can't imagine what it must have been like for JoJo. (Who was really poised to be a breakout star at one point.)

What happened to Pia? I missed the story, where is it I can read about it?

The link was working yesterday. I've removed it now.

Pia reportedly recorded dozens of songs, but so far as I know never got to the point where she had a finished album that was ready for distribution. I think she's stated she lacked an understanding of who she was as an artist when she began the process.

It's a shame because one of the songs she recorded became a huge Demi Lovato hit.

Pia was also released from her label. I'm sure it was rough at the time, but it's better to be released than to be stuck there.

Sorry about that, although I'm not surprised. After coming up empty on all the stuff I looked at in my 1st search I added "ru" to the search terms and found lots of sites with the song. But they are all pretty sketchy.
