6 days away from internet access in Canadian Wilderness has me yearning for a taste of Haley Bytes and this is better than melting Ice Cream after you stop getting brain-freeze.
I love that Scott Bradlee promotes the over-all entertainment value as much as the vocals & instruments. PMJ's work brings back the days of Sonny & Cher, Donnie & Marie, Laugh-in, The Dean Martin Show, all the entertaining Variety Shows once removed from Vaudeville. Scott's selections inject a lot of humor in songs like "Barbie Girl" and this "Oops, I Did It Again" that kind of pokes fun at the Brittany Spears cheezy non-sensical lyrics and Marilyn's sex-driven vocal style. What a contrast between the emotional depth of "Creep" and this sexy fun frolicing "Oops...IDIA".

That is Haley Reinhart. She was on American Idol. She was my favorite!!! Finished 3rd.

She did a show during the day at Lumiere a couple of years ago. About 8 people showed up.

That was an early stop on the radio promo tour with Neara.

Yesterday, I posted a pic of Marilyn Monroe that contained a bit of ‪#‎HistoricalMisappropriation‬ in it. Did anyone pick up on what was wrong with it? Here's another hint.

Yeah, this one wasn't as 'clever' because it mentions Cristina, whom Marilyn would never have met. The first one was sneakier because the timing of the post felt like it was a response to all the negative comments being posted. It also followed that FB post about there being plenty of places elsewhere for the negativity, making it easier to believe it was a Marilyn quote, rather than Britney's.

I think the original quote sounded like something Marilyn would say, and I totally fell for it too...you'd think I'd recognize Britney Quotes..

I think the second one was just tongue in cheek.

Lots of people fell for it without admitting it (or even knowing it now). Yeah, this one makes it a bit more obvious, although I'm sure there are those out there thinking it's cool that she liked Christina.
