25 & feeling BETTER than ever!

It's about that time of year again folks!

Haley's birthday is a little more than month away. Last year, I thought of something for all of us to do last minute which ended up being so worth it, considering Haley loved the video so much, it made her cry and she posted it

Funny enough, around this exact time last year, I was planning the Show Me Your Moves enormous congratulations card full of love!

Now, last year, many of the not-as-involved Haliens got upset they missed the memo about the birthday video. I don't want that to happen again. Starting this idea this early will help everyone get a chance to get a message in.

This idea literally just popped into my head, so I thought why not now?



"25 & feeling BETTER than ever!" Haley turns 25, BETTER is the first single, BETTER is more than likely the name of the EP as well.

Last year's video was all about "Love is Worth Fighting For"...we all stated what was worth fighting for in our lives. Well, one year later, did we all fight for what we said we would fight for? Haley is clearly in a better place than she was a year ago. And I hope that we all are too. I know I am.

In hopes "Better" the actual single is released by her birthday, I like this idea for a theme, say a short message about something we've made BETTER in our own lives over the last year. It could even be along the lines of I'm feeling better because I am going to college this year", and then say Happy Birthday to her & that you love her, all that jazz you know you wanna say

Look at it as a follow up to last year's video. This might be too similar to last year's idea for some people, perhaps we can go all out and be crazy for an Congrats on the EP release video, rocking out to all her new songs...or something like that, but let's talk about that one later

Whether it's health, self acceptance, love, happiness, something's gotta be better, right?

Maybe this idea is cheesy, I don't know, I thought that about last year too.

But I kind of like the idea, and I hope everyone else is up for it too.

I also think it's a good way to catch up with Haley, she's very busy now, a lot of us are more busy now, it would be cool in a way to keep in touch. She remembers nearly everybody she's seen or had a connection with, in person and online.

Again, I am more than willing to accept all the videos and make a badass, bigger and BETTER than ever birthday video for the deserving gal.

(If anyone else has an idea they want to do as well, by all means, go for it, but I would like to do this too )

We had mini Halien Shindigs number 1 1/2 and #2. It wasn't the full hoopla I was planning on for a Haley & Midnight concert weekend at the new Heritage Park but PMJ filled in nicely as an alternate. Halien Shindig #3 will take place November 18th.

As my senior years are here and worse things are on the horizon, finding things that are "BETTER" gets a bit more difficult, but there are financial things that have improved over the past year so that might be my theme....and they'll coincide with BETTER financial things for Haley.

Another note: You don't have to just choose one thing that's making you feel better...

Example:

"I'm feeling better because your new music is finally coming, I saw you in concert this year and I got started my own photography business!"

Also, don't be afraid if you want to make it all about Haley if you'd like:

"I'm feeling better because of your success with Postmodern Jukebox, meeting you for the first time ever, and your EP is coming out! Happy Birthday Haley!"

Don't worry about it! Like last year, I'll start creating the video while I'm receiving the videos. That way I don't have to wait til the day before to start the whole thing. So I'll honestly accept vids all the way til the night before her birthday! Plenty o time!
