Hi guys, I want to commend Scott on following through with his wish to have Joey Cook record a video with PMJ. We all know how hard it is for an artist to be seen and heard by the masses unless your Miley Cyrus and the like. Joey will likely get a nice bump to help start her career with the exposure from PMJ. The new PMJ video with Joey is not my favorite but I appreciate who she is. I loved her version of Fancy on AI. How exciting for her after just mentioning PMJ on air to now being able to tour with them.

I agree with John that Scott is looking for pizzaz in his shows, and Joey brings a presence, a bit of a quirky one at that, but definitely one that makes you pay attention to her. And she will get more polished if she tours with PMJ. Look how good Haley is now after touring. Her stage presence, her confidence, her dancing ...everything has improved.

Scott is a gem.

Dear Singers of the Internet, Here's your chance to become part of the Postmodern Jukebox universe... "So You Think You Can Sing?" is the first official collection of PMJ karaoke tracks, but it's more than that. I know that there are TONS of amazing vocalists and future PMJ stars all over the world, and I want to find them. So, from now until the end of September, I'll be searching the #PMJsearch hashtag for one talented singer to make their Postmodern Jukebox video debut. Here's how to take part: 1) Pick a song from "So You Think You Can Sing?" (available on iTunes, Google Play, & Amazon) and record a video of yourself singing. Be sure to dress the part. 2) Post the full video to your Facebook page using the hashtag #PMJsearch, and tag @postmodernjukebox. Not on Facebook? Then just post it to YouTube and send us the link. 3) That's it! I just included a third step because it looked better. "So, You Think You Can Sing?” This could be your Golden Ticket.

Looks like Scott is starting his own empire. is this cool or what? Should be called Scott Bradlee's American Idol search. Lol Can you imagine getting chosen by Scott, recording a video, and possibly getting millions of people to see it. People are gonna love him for this. Scott's brain never stops churning for the next thing.

While listening to videos of people imitating Haley's style on various songs I have often found they may do okay for a while, but then it fails when they try to imitate some of her vocal magic. This has been particularly true with Creep. The renditions tend to crash and burn at a certain point, or the singer has to abandon copying her style in parts and that may take things in a different direction that doesn't necessarily fit well.

I do find it interesting to listen to other people singing "Haley's songs". Noone can sing like her, and she does it all so naturally. It really proves how incredible she is.

This obviously is from an alternate universe, as in our universe August 30, 2006 was a Wednesday. In the alternate universe, Laguana Beach is named after Sharky Laguana, guitarist and songwriter for Creeper Lagoon, and vacencies used to be prevalent but have been eradicated by the No Vacencies band. In fact, no one today even remembers what a vacency is. The only error is that the author misspells the singer as "Haley Reinhart," when it is obviously supposed to be either the very famous Hailey Reinhardt, runner up on American Idol to Phillip Phillips, or perhaps the up and coming "Hayley Rinehart" who was a runner up on The Voice, (I think.)

Here is a summary of Haley's PMJ Youtube activity during the month of August. The numbers aren't exact due to timing of view counts and I adjusted them a little. But they should be pretty close to the actual numbers.

It is quite impressive that during the month of August, on average Haley's PMJ videos received almost 180,000 views each day. That's more than 1.25 million per week. Of course, the number of daily views went up a lot after the release of SNA. She was getting about 120K views per day during the first week of the month.
