RE: 2015 PMJ North American Tour
Attended the PMJ concert last night. Some brief thoughts:
The meet and greet is kind of awkward, but it is nice to see everyone up close and personal. Haley is such a sweetheart. She was there with wet hair and her pink fuzzy slippers and she looks like a 16-17 yr old. I'll never understand how that booming voice comes from such a small package. I was pretty impressed with Casey. When we did the group picture, he was there in the middle with us. Shook my hand and greeted us, looked me dead in the eye. After we took our group picture we just left the area, the lobby, and took a walk around. We came back to the lobby and Haley was still there, talking to a fan who was giving her a gift, a piece of Beatles memorabilia. I decided to be a groupie and wait until they finished and ask for a picture with just her. I didn't realize it, but I cut in front of someone. So, someone, if you are reading this, please accept my apologies again. Having just cut line, so to speak, and Haley there still in slippers and wet hair and me being a little tongue-tied (how can a 25 yr old do that to an old man); I didn't get to say anything to her or ask her anything (next time...).
So the venue, first time there, is old, about 108 yrs old, and the seats are small and uncomfortable and is not in the best part of the Pittsburgh area. My wife is not, was not, a PMJ fan and I think she was thinking I was dragging her to a bad evening in a bad part of Pittsburgh. During the meet and greet, we found out that Scott was not there, he went to Cali to do a video. I was pretty bummed about that. Also, we found out that Joey Cook was sick and would not be performing, not bummed about that because that meant more Haley, Casey and Ariana for me.
The show was out of this world, crazy good. My wife told me that I converted her and that this was, maybe, the best concert she has ever been to. Also, everyone here was right. I sort of didn't understand it when everyone says that you have to hear Haley live. I get it now. I am going to need another live Haley fix and soon. And, she was obviously the crowd favorite. When she walked on stage there were many applause and that was during the middle of the first song. The other amazing performer you have to see live is Sarah Reich. She was a real treat to watch. Casey and Ariana are the big personalities on the stage: very poised, very confident and very funny. I got the set list from the guy on the lighting board as we were leaving. If I figure out how to post it, I will. I am not sure how it is different from the other shows because of Joey's absence. However, Casey did sing the third part in AATB. He really hammed it up and had a great time with it. It was a crowed pleaser.
As time goes by/Someday were a special treat. I hope Haley records it. All-in-all it was a very good night.

Glad you went and enjoyed it! So fun to watch and it is a real treat to see Haley live. The older venues kind of mesh with the show. I love hearing everyone's description of their evening and meeting Haley.

@HaleysTusk Yep. She remembered it from the birthday video and seemed really happy to get it.
I'm not surprised your wife was impressed, that just shows Scott's intelligence when he puts his troupes together, something for everyone... I end up enjoying them all just because, as a show, it keeps things interesting and why it feels like the 2 hours go buzzing by
About seeing another show, word of warning.... it's really addicting and post show depression is real ... People used to laugh when I'd say that, but you're on such a high during the show that the 'lack' of that buzz, it can hit you. Funny now that more people are able to experience Haley live, and the adrenaline/endorphin rush, after it's gone, I see more and more people say how depressed they are after such a 'high' lol ....like the lyrics of Spiderweb says, "a thrill that you can't escape"...welcome to the club
I do love these reports from people finally getting to see Haley sing live....PMJ has been a god send for Haley/Haliens in so many ways.... thank goodness these stars felt fit to align.
Next stop, a solo tour to promote #BetterEP
PS.... Sarah Reich is a name that comes up often after people see PMJ.... she is a dynamo and who'd a thunk so many would be captivated by a tap dancer. Her personality and energy/aura can be intoxicating. A credit to the tap community
Also, Casey has also benefited enormously from his PMJ experience. He was already a crazy talented showman, but now, after touring often as an ensemble w/ PMJ, his 'crazy' is more refined. He's also amazing, like Haley, with fans.

Note from Miguel: This post and some responses to it were moved from the Halian Shindig #4 thread.
If you see this before you head off to the show, let Haley know how special it was for Rachel & Rebecca (and Pops) to meet her in Buffalo. The girls (and Pops) are still Buzzing over it.
Add in the Haley retweet, the pics getting posted and talked about here and Rachel C using one of Becca's pics on her news site linked to Haley's OFFICIAL site (with pic credits) and well...we are overwhelmed.
We didn't do the M&G but got to meet most of the band, Sara, Casey and Haley after the show. By the time Haley came out there were only 20-30 or so people left so we actually got to spend quite of bit of time with her. Joey and Ari didn't come out. I told her we weren't leaving without seeing her and she said, "well I'm glad I came out then."
I told her we came around the backside of the Theater, know where the bus is and were prepared to stalk her if necessary, to which Rebecca added, "in the most legal way possible, of course."
I'm still formulating a proper introduction to all of Halien nation here (and a review of the evening) so in the mean time fellow followers of the Queen...I feel I know you all. Like Steve...er....Himm2 told you, I've actually been a member since 2013 and signed up hoping to make to Shindig #1 but that fell through and I haven't logged back in until Himm2 mentioned.
How amazing is it that we are from the same small suburb of Rochester and are kind of the same age???
Oh...one more thing...that picture of the PMJ crew eating wings in Buffalo (because what else do you do to kill some time there) is from the famous Duff's, right up the road from the UB Amherst Campus...and...
...WHERE ME AND MY FAMILY WENT TO EAT BEFORE THE SHOW!!!! I might have been sitting in the same chair she was!!! I'm not washing my jeans....ever.

RE: 2015 PMJ North American Tour
I love reading everyone's reaction to seeing Haley and PMJ live too. I am poised to leave shortly for my own experience with seeing PMJ and the Queen tonight in Chicago at the Riviera. Someone mentioned it is sold out and thats pretty cool. The theater holds 2500 people!
Pat 5533 is going with us to the show and wanted me to mention to you lovely people here on HF that she will be attempting to Periscope part of the show, or maybe one song. not sure. but it would it worth it to keep your eyes on her periscope (Pat5533)!!
 I hope she is successful!

RE: Halien Shindig #4 begins today
Quote:Officially welcome for your first post. In general, I don't worry about grammar when I post my experiences, (I'm horrible with run on sentences)...imo, it gives an extra "you are there" feeling when you write from your heart
TUSK!!! I definitely feel like I know YOU. I may just be crawling out from my lurker rock but I come here pretty much all of the time for my Daily Haley and have been since way before I even signed up. I've followed your Haley adventures and all of us here appreciate your stellar work. It's been fun watching you get your groove back on with H.E.R as a muse.
I'm somewhat infamous for run-on sentences. Can I write succinctly? Sure, but it just doesn't sound as conversational to me. I've been "nervous" about getting started on here mainly due to that fact that I have a feeling I will get totally lost in here. I spend WAAY to much time here as it is, so getting actually INVOLVED??? It could spell trouble.
