Haley Reinhart opened the show. She rose to fame when she became a finalist on American Idol on its Season 10. Her soulful, jazz style made for a nice opening act performance. Her stripped down performance along with her keyboard player made her voice really stand out.

What a difference a band makes....

I was hoping for a 'full band' when I made plans for the show, figured there'd be time for Haley to get one together. That being said, there's alot to like about not having a 'full band' when it comes to Haley, because you get to hear all aspects of that wonderful instrument in her voice.

Let's face it, we've been spoiled, Haley has been paired to some remarkable keyboard players whose talent is part of their being, naturals, like Keith Phelps and Scott Bradlee... so that's alot to measure up to

I prefer a full band almost always, including with Haley. I just find it more interesting (if the band and the arrangement are good). That said, I do not think Quinten is up to Haley standards as a single accompanying musician. He seems to have trouble with timing, finding the right key or something, and losing or obscuring the melody. Something.
