'American Idol' Alum Haley Reinhart Signs Deal With ICM Partners

American Idol season 10 alum Haley Reinhart has signed with ICM Partners, Billboard has learned.

Reinhart is set to release her new EP, Better, in 2016 via Ole and Red Dot.

The 25-year-old entertainer is riding a wave of success, most recently with her cover of Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” which appeared in a TV ad for Extra gum that has racked up nearly 13 million views on YouTube. Her songs have also been featured in a variety of other TV and film projects, including James Cameron’s Showtime documentary series Years of Living Dangerously, a recent Chase Bank commercial featuring the song “Show Me Your Moves” and the film Step Up Revolution....

Of course this is old news to the Halien Universe, but it is always nice to see Haley getting in Billboard and the dozens of sites that post links. And they report "Better" is going to be an ole/red dot release.

I'm going to assume she's still signed with Ole? Don't know how these things work; so she is signed with two mgmts? Means more opportunities for her with projects and placements? But does that take away from Ole? Good for her either way. She's making moves. Smart gal.

She is still signed with ole. The ICM deal appears to involve booking live appearances. Haley is filling out her roster. PMJ uses ICM, but I don't think they got a write-up anywhere. Nice to see that Haley warrants the coverage.

ICM has connections with Dancing with the Stars and the Ellen Show according to Wikipedia. That opens new doors for Haley to appear on said shows in the near future.

Patiently waiting for a Better release date... Can't wait for the album to drop. She grew her audience tenfold this year between PMJ and CHFIL exposure. Hope this album is a smash hit and gains traction on charts and radio.

That article or the THR version has been linked to on twitter more than 150 times in the past hour. The sites include entertainment news aggregators, idol sites, radio stations, and business sites, among others, and many have thousands of followers. I don't think Billboard tweeted it, although the BillboardBiz site did. Billboard will if it hasn't (more than a million followers).

I think this is good publicity for Haley -- keeping her in the public and industry eye, as she rides her wave of success and prepares to release her album. It makes her bigger and more important in the eyes of consumers as well as people that might play her songs, book her shows, put her on TV and the like. The single, commercial(s), idol appearance, PMJ work, FIFF, and live appearances; coupled with interviews and increased media coverage seems should give a nice push for her album and tour plans.
