RE: Postmodern Jukebox
They retweeted a few of the promo stuff too.
I'm a big Hanson fan, for a few reasons..but this is actually a really cool cover for an interesting reason. The three brothers spent a few years of their young lives in Ecuador while their parents were missionaries, with nothing but old records (Classic rock, Motown etc..) to keep them busy. They often said that it's really not surprising they came up with a song like Mmmbop, when Doo Wop music was a major part of their influence. I'm sure they appreciated the cover for that reason.
Also, I'm sure they understand the importance of independent music being recognized. There's a cool documentary about their transition from being on a label to being Independent, and they've done really well as such. For a while, they had the highest selling Independent album ever (I'm sure Macklemore shattered that, but that's really not fair either. Macklemore had help from a label in terms of distributing..and therefore marketing.) And they've always been on the cutting edge in terms of the business aspect of the music Industry..between the importance of technology, marketing, fanclubs..they've been saying for years that Albums were on the way out and EPs/singles were going to be the way of the music industry and low and behold..

RE: Postmodern Jukebox
Earlier today Dani Armstrong Kapler did a live video on FB. She sang a song with PMJ that hasn't been put up yet, but her song (Roxanne) is on the album. Pretty excited.
It is interesting that she, as a first time singer, doesn't have a clue about a lot of stuff. Was surprised her song went on the album, for example. Found out she was on the album by an email. She did mention that it was a one take kind of deal.

Glad to see Melinda finally do a PMJ cover. The style suits her quite well and she did kill it.
