Just got home from the Bethesda show with Haley and DD. The show was great although Haley sang less than half the set with Dave Damiani singing the remainder. He's OK but really not anywhere near Haley's standard. The full No Vacancy Band was there with piano, drums, bass, 2 trumpets, a trombone, and a full sax section (alto, tenor, bari). Not all the same musicians as in Laguna Beach. Note the Instigators are a subset including just piano, bass and drums. In order Haley sang 1. You Know I'm No Good, 2 Gee Baby, 3. LIWFF (good arrangement), 4. At Last, 5. Can't Help Falling in Love, and finally, as DD promised, the big band arrangement of Creep. This is really good with the horns much better than I thought. As usual Haley killed each and every song. She really is a wonder live. She never disappoints. I did take video although I kept it on the down low so there are a lot of heads in the frame. I used a new camera for the first time, a Panasonic LX100, which is a pocket sized wonder and pretty easy to use. I recorded in 4K which is beautiful but the files are huge (4GB is about 6 minutes 35 seconds) and inconveniently break in the middle of songs when the max file size is reached. I think the videos are continuous but the files need to be merged. Tusk - if you want to edit the files into usable videos and post them I'd be willing to send them to you to work your magic on. Let me know the best way to share these large files.
