Thomas Wright "Tom" Scott (born May 19, 1948) is an American saxophonist, composer, arranger, conductor and bandleader of the west coast jazz/jazz fusion ensemble the L.A. Express.

Tom Scott is a veteran composer, arranger, producer, musical director and saxophonist, having earned 3 Grammy Awards and 14 Grammy nominations over four decades. He made his first record as a leader in 1968--at age twenty. The number of solo recordings in his catalogue now stands at 35. In addition, his music has been sampled by dozens of recording artists including 2Pac, Madonna, Bruno Mars, Snoop Dog, Massive Attack, Wu-Tang Clan, N.W.A. and The Chemical Brothers.

Tom’s career as a guest artist spans more than 500 recordings—by such diverse artists as Barbra Streisand, Quincy Jones, Thelonius Monk, the Blues Brothers, Frank Sinatra, Aretha Franklin and Aerosmith. His numerous contributions as a player and arranger include Joni Mitchell’s Court And Spark, Steely Dan’s Aja; hit singles like Carole King’s Jazzman, Paul McCartney’s Listen To What The Man Said, Rod Stewart’s Do You Think I’m Sexy & Soulbook, Blondie’s Rapture, Captain & Tenille’s Do That To Me One More Time, Whitney Houston’s Saving All My Love For You; and on movie soundtracks such as Taxi Driver, Bladerunner, Heaven Can Wait, Sea Of Love, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, Toy Story 2 and Monsters, Inc.

Tom’s other career achievements include composing film scores, among them Conquest of the Planet of the Apes, Uptown Saturday Night, Stir Crazy, Hanky Panky, The Sure Thing, Just One Of The Guys, Soul Man and Shakes the Clown. His television composing and conducting credits include the themes for Family Ties, Starsky & Hutch, Square Pegs and background scores for Baretta, Cannon, Barnaby Jones, Streets Of San Francisco, National Geographic Explorer, and numerous T.V. Specials and Network Movies. He has served as Musical Director for the Academy Awards, the Emmy Awards, the Celebration At Ford’s Theater, the People’s Choice Awards, Comic Relief, the Carol Burnett Show, the Pat Sajak Show, Joni Mitchell, George Harrison, Olivia Newton-John, and the GRP All-Star Big Band, among others--and has toured five continents as leader of his own group. He is also active as a clinician throughout the U.S. and Canada, performing and teaching Master Classes in Woodwinds, Arranging & Film Composing.

The song featured new member Joe English on drums, with guest musicians Dave Mason on guitar and Tom Scott on soprano saxophone. It was a #1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the US. Sundance Institute fellow and ASCAP scholarship recipient, Jacques Brautbar, combines traditional orchestral colors with the palates of electronic and etherial sonic art.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Jacques began his professional music career at the age of fifteen as a founder, guitar player, arranger and songwriter for Sony recording artist Phantomplanet. While with Phantomplanet, Jacques collaborated on the band's three singles, "Lonely Day," "Big Brat," and the theme song to the hit show The O.C, “California.” After a decade with the band, Jacques signed with Sony/Atv publishing and produced hundreds of songs spanning pop, hip-hop and rock genres. It was during this time that he recognized a desire within to write music for visual story telling.

Jacques has since dedicated himself to the pursuit of creating music for Film, Television and Interactive Media. His immersion in both popular and classical aspects of music gives Jacques the distinct position to see composition from a perspective not often viewed by traditional classical musicians.

Jacques Brautbar (born March 14, 1979 in Los Angeles, California) is an American photographer, producer, writer and guitarist, formerly of rock band Phantom Planet. He left the band in 2004, after their self-titled third album, to pursue a career in photography. Brautbar's photo credits include Rolling Stone, Spin, Nylon, Jane and High Times magazines.

In the spring of 2006, Brautbar returned to music and began to play shows with Beck, Okgo, UH HUH HER, Jack's Mannequin and the electronica band Something for Rockets. Brautbar toured with Something for Rockets for over a year and is a co-writer on their second record. Brautbar has since moved on from the band to explore music composition and production.

In 2008, Brautbar began writing music for film and television and co-writing with other artists. Brilliant time collaborating with these amazing people. Massive Thank You to Jacques Brautbar for bringing me on to this. Haley Reinhart is a phenomenal singer, musician and person. Check her out! Lemar Guillary, Jacob Scesney & Mike Sailors, best known for their work on Post-Modern Jukebox, are So Great. Tom Scott is a bona fide legend. John Burk is the man. Mark Cargill, Nicole Garcia, Jeannie and Peggy are fantastic.

I don't think so because John Burk is still involved and they're still at the Sunset Sound studios.

Haley is working with an eclectic group of people. Musicians, composers, arrangers and producers with backgrounds in jazz and classical music, as well as rock and funk. I like the fit. Sooo much better than the urban and pop mix of producers and writers that Interscope set up way back when.
