RE: Postmodern Jukebox
When I consider a great vocalist, it's "Vocal Control" that I most look at.
DeAndre is not mainstream in the slightest. His vocal inflections come from a blend of Hawaiian music, reggae, gospel, and old school R&B. He wasn't someone that Idol or Idol fans were going to get. (Although, the old school soul does make him a good fit for PostModern Jukebox)
But his voice always stunned me. At this point, he has a well over 4 octave range, uses his whistle register with ease (I honestly didn't even know men could do that), has the ability to harmonize with himself (didn't know you could sing two pitches at the same time either..)..and his pitch accuracy is absolutely crazy.
When you talk about someone have all the tools in the toolbox...He just needs to get some career focus and put it together in one package..(AKA, not every song has to show everything he's capable of..), which again..is something that PMJ might be good for him for.

Creep as performed by Dani Armstrong of PMJ earlier this month in Richmond, VA
Quote:I got to sing Creep February 10, 2017 in front of one of the most electric crowds I've sang for in my life. I'll never forget this moment. So much fun touring with Postmodern Jukebox!
