While I adore all of the new covers Haley debuted on the European Tour, I think Baby It's You would probably find more airplay on Adult Contemporary radio, if that is her (and her team's) goal. It's a little more 'pop' than the other's, and would fit better, I think. Here's hoping!! Other than seeing Haley live (and meeting her), unexpectedly hearing one of her songs on the radio, is the one of the best Halien experiences IMO. Note: I still hear Free occasionally at my grocery store, and heard it just the other day.

I loved Himm's juxtaposition of the two versions of the same song. How ironic (and sweet) would it be if Haley somehow got a hit out of the song? I loved the original Idol version, but the current versions are just amazing. Remember, Steven's reaction? Can you imagine it to her latest offering of it!!!!

I agree that Baby It's You has more potential to build on the audience which listened to CHFIL and for that reason I think it's the best choice for a first single. The other new covers I personally prefer only because they sound fresher to me - hopefully more singles are coming. Now, I think HR3 will be mostly (if not all) covers - maybe a good approach since IMO her main strength has been her amazing voice, tone and style and her song writing, while strong, is less mature.

I also agree that she does a great job with both the Idol and newer version of BIY - and I love that picture - beautiful and original.

Luckily I live in an area where CHFIL was played quite a bit (I know that wasn't the case for everyone here, unfortunately), but not on the stations I normally listen to. During it's run, I had to change my listening habits. I typically listen to a AAA station (KFOG), and I think Haley's other 60's covers would fit perfectly in their playlist. I think someone else here mentioned that it could be tough for her to find play on AAA because of her background and body of work. I agree, but KFOG recently went thru a bunch of upheaval, and has been trying to attract a younger audience. Maybe they would be open to Haley's retro sound??

It seem there is pretty widespread promotion going on for this single. Do a 24-hr. search for Haley or Baby It's You and you'll find quite a few music blogs and related sites with the same image and copy. I've seen it on sites in U.S., UK, Holland, Brazil, and New Zealand.

Yay, exciting fun stuff is finally happening!!! And I am off work on Friday hehe I haven't watched any Europe tour videos specifically for this reason....I want everything to be new with no previews. I will appreciate it more!
