From this series of recent Walmart commercials, the one that has caught a lot of interest is the Own the School Year Like a Hero commercial with the song Here I Go Again by Whitesnake.

It has had 1338 airings since early July (30 sec version). And 1.2 millions YT views of the 15 sec version (144,207 views of the 30 sec version). I wonder if they were advertising with it on YT or something. No reason for it to have that many views if they weren't being channeled to the video.

Wonder Woman, Batman, Superman, the Power Rangers, et al. are draws.

The spot pulls out all the stops production-wise, with the effects and costumes feeling as blockbuster as the films that have supported the ad's characters.

They are draws but from where. There are other Walmart commercials featuring the superheroes without the level of views. The views have been coming to a 15 second video. I suppose now that it has a lot of views it may be featured higher in searches but still.

Saw the Walmart ad half dozen times today on the Freeform channel. I was painting my foyer and living room today and so I had the channel running in the background. They seem to play the ad about once per hour during airings of the Harry Potter movies during most of the day. At one point, I heard my wife humming the tune and she mentioned she wished she could hear a longer version.

BTW, they also played the shorter version of CHFIL quite a few times-- in some cases just a few minutes apart from the Walmart ad.

My adult son was helping me paint, and I didn't need to tell him that the Walmart Ad was Haley's voice. After it was over, he said said something to the effect that Haley was the new "Ad Queen". He's not a Halien by any means, but he does recognize her voice.

If I recall correctly, once they played both of her Ads in the same commercial break, so the astute observer 'might' make the connection.
