Finally finished one of the biggest vector workouts of my life. Haley Reinhart, a labor of love to draw.
![[Image: screen_shot_2012-05-15_at_1.09.33_pm.png?1337105587]](http://dribbble.com/system/users/24111/screenshots/561394/screen_shot_2012-05-15_at_1.09.33_pm.png?1337105587) I own a copy of Illustrator, but use it sparingly and no lie, vector graphics is a b!tch to work with, I always end up flaking out and going back to Photoshop, if I can, although raster graphics has it's limitations.
(main difference, if you don't know is, vector graphics (Illustrator) uses mathematical equations so what you are illustrating can be resized. If you want to create a logo, this is what you would use because Logo's sometimes need to be enlarged or shrunk depending on need, and your logo will not look differently. You can scale it big or small and it won't lose it's dimensions or become pixelated, because it's made using equations. Illustrator is primarily for printing.
Raster graphics (Photoshop) uses pixels and is easier to work with if you have a lot of gradation or on Photo's (which are also made up of pixels). You can do more effects and tricks with it. It's primary limitation is that you can't make the picture bigger without distorting it. If you enlarge the picture, you also enlarge the pixels. Photoshop is primarily for web/video/photographs)
That hair must have been a nightmare!
