RE: Step Up Revolution Movie
I think that "Singing in the Rain" is one of the most joyful musicals ever made! Who can resist that delightful arrangement of the title song (starting with the flute intro), Gene Kelly's gleeful splashing around in the water, and that final sheepish shrug, trying to explain to the policeman he was "dancin' .. and singin' in the rain." (Cue flute fade out..)
But "Moses, Supposes" is one of my other favorite numbers from that show. From its initial "elocution lesson" purpose, to all of the rhyming, to the terrific dancing that Gene Kelly and Donald O'Connor lay out, it's just fun! Gene and Donald have somewhat different styles in their approach (Gene Kelly is more athletic and wound a little more tightly; O'Connor's style seems looser and more relaxed), but they are but terrific and such fun to watch.
So, Tom, are you saying that the dancing in SU:R is like this?
