The Black Stallion is one of my all time favorite movies. I remember leaving the theater in the late 70's & I felt like I was in another dimension. There is not much dialogue in the first part of the movie, but no words are needed because the cinematography & soundtrack are superb. This is a feel good movie that is best viewed on a big screen...

Quote:Red (played by Morgan Freedmen) (narrator): I have no idea to this day what those two Italian ladies were singing about. Truth is, I don’t want to know. Some things are best left unsaid. I like to think they were singing about something so beautiful it can’t be expressed in words and makes your heart ache because of it. I tell you, those voices soared higher and farther than anybody in a gray place dares to dream. It was like some beautiful bird flapped into our drab little cage and made those walls dissolve away. And for the briefest of moments, every last man in Shawshank felt free.
Buzz, I don't know if this is the best movie ever, but it is close. When I start feeling hopeless I watch
Shawshank Redemption to remind myself that life requires patience & hope for the ultimate satisfaction...
