Heya all!
New to posting here, but have been reading for a while.
I had joined Idol forum a while back as it was what I bumped into first looking into Haley and how she is getting on with things. I too tire of that site because it seems like it's for the 15 yrs old and younger set - the company of whom I actively avoid

Also, seems a haven for passing around Haley's music to anyone who requests it despite warnings - another sign that that group is of the "twitterbrat" set (coined by another irritated poster there - luv it).
I like reading the banter here for the most part. And I like how most posters find information and try to see where it leads. Also that although some of ya are a little on the "STAN" side (you know who you are), LOL. Others quickly shine the light of reality and then the world becomes equalized again

We all could use that, now can't we.
I am someone who loves rock'in-fn-roll. I was excited when Hales popped up with Myles and Slash in February. Was so excited wondering what her album was gonna be after that... seemed a direction was suggested. I am not one who likes "Free" but, I love how Haley sings it - which says a lot about how I am looking at things. I am also very aware that most of everything is not in her control. I'd love it if she could find her way to her bluesy/jazzy/rock side as she grows into herself. I know she's young and away from home for the first time in her life, and that she's contracted without wiggle room.
I would like to remove her from the runway so to speak, and throw her in an old chevy with some great rockers and a bag of chips (plus a bottle of nail polish for her sanity) and send them off to find themselves and find their music, like great bands used to do.
I am excited for the Allen Stone thing, and for the Mayfield thing. I hope she low-keys them both because that is when she performs best IMHO. And the sooner she can get out of the Idol shadow the better for her as I believe as I think some others have mentioned that there is so much stigma with that, that some don't want to have an Idol opening for them - regardless of how good a person and artist they are. Allen has obviously thought out-of-the-box and this will be a chance for Haley to key it down a bit and show everybody she is not a "commercial dog" (snoopy reference).
