RE: Haley Reinhart - "Oh My" - New Single? Coming Soon?
I took a "Listen Up!" sabbatical shortly after Casey's album came out and stuck to listening to that for a couple of weeks.
When I went back to listen to LU again, the piano to "Free" still get's the hairs on my arms to stand up. Maybe it's sentimental, I still think that "Free" was a good choice (maybe because it was the song she picked first on tour) as an intro single, framing the music that would follow.
I liked OM more than I did too, and I wouldn't be upset if she were to perform the rap, from now on. (I kind of laugh watching her perform it and thinking about when she performed and messed up the fast verse in YOK on AI.... She could have really messed up that rap on top of dancing all over the stage with how quick the rap was.)
Undone, on the other hand, I liked a little less. It has the best example on LU of Haley's pure voice , but in a few ways, IMO, it is the least creative song.
Following "Free", another heartache/ relationship/break up song..."Undone" would be too similar...OM offers a change of pace from "Free" that "Undone" cannot.
