Haley Reinhart was a stunner from the moment she graced the "American Idol" stage in Season 10. (Remember how she werked that "Rhiannon" wind machine? And how she managed to look graceful even when she totally tripped in Zeppelin-inspired platform heels?) And since leaving the show and recording her debut, Listen Up!, she has adopted a pinup-perfect signature style that completely complements her album's retro soul sound.

So when Yahoo! Shine's The Thread visited with Haley recently in Chicago--where she made history as the first Idol to ever perform at Lollapalooza--she was of course grilled about all her time-traveling style inspirations. I thought Haley said that That she picked out a pair of red white and blue platform shoes but at the last minute they brought out the 6 inch pointed things or was that a different performance?

I think that originally, she was going to wear a pair of Flag (the brand) platforms, and right before the show, the wardrobe person decided on the black, patent leather shoes with ridiculously high heels.
