RE: Season 9 - So You Think You Can Dance
Well, LDH, knowing full well how lonely this conversation will be, I'm going to engage anyway.
With the exception of Chehon, I didn't find any of the solos to be worth "writing home about." Even the extraordinary Eliana, while it wasn't bad, it just wasn't quite what I've come to expect from her.
When it came to to the partner dances, well, there were two that really stood out.
Chehon and Anya - Tango
and Eliana and Ryan -Quickstep
I think that it's surprising that the best two dances of the evening were in ballroom, but it doesn't surprise me at all that the two best dances of the evening had Eliana and Chehon in them. The tone of the two routines are completely different, but each dancer is incredibly good in his/her respective dance/role. (However, personally, I just keep hitting replay on Eliana's number -- it's such a delight!. I'd love to see these two [Chehon and Eliana] dance together!)
LDH (sweetie), I hope you are doing OK. Thirteen years ago, I was in a position where I worked a job and a half. That was hard enough -- but when I got sick, it was really hard. (Since that time, I've always gotten a flu shot annually.) When I said, "take care of you" I truly meant "take care of you!!"
