Haley caught that. Tweet made three hours ago:

“@MichaelSlezakTV: @are_youin @HaleyReinhart's "Un-duhh-uhh-uhhnnnn..."” Hahaa Bingooooo! Hope you like the album, Miss ya Michael!
I love all of that twitter exchange: the challenge to Michael Slezak; that he "wasn't challenged" and that Haley saw it and responded. So cool!
So back to the other question (Has anyone performed songs by (former) AI contestants as an audition song, particularly for competing talent, reality shows): Sugga heard a duo "perform" (given the description "Sugga" gave us, using the term "perform" might be an overstatement) a Carrie Underwood tune just a couple of nights ago. While we don't know whether this is a precedence, we now do know that it has happened, at least once.
So then, the next question or questions would be: will any of Haley's songs from
Listen Up become tunes that those auditioning will sing and, if so, which one(s) and how soon?
Initially, this subject was raised because I think this is a song that a lot of young women (girls, if you must) might sing in an audition in the future. While my initial question was very broad ("I wonder when we'll start hearing this as an audition song?"), Miguel narrowed it a bit. But either way, it still is interesting.
It seems to me, that the songs that are chosen by auditioners are, generally, fairly recognizable to those deciding who can move them to the next level. Given that
Listen Up was not released until late May, the main song that people
might have heard, by the time that auditions for the various vocal reality shows took place, was "Free." While I won't rule it out, I think it unlikely that someone(s) might have used this song as an audition number (and, if they did, it would most likely have been for AI auditions).
"Undone" didn't really start generating interest until
Step Up: Revolution was released. Thus,
if this song starts being heard as an audition number (and I really do think it will be), it won't be until the next round of auditions for the various vocal reality shows.
At least, that's my theory as of this point. (That's the beauty of theories; they're always in flux!)
