Mayfield jr poured such soul into it, sitting where I was, the emotion in the music was palpable.

It was almost spiritual, that performance .... and touching, which made the switch to the celebratory "When the Saints Go Marching in" so clever, switching the tempo to jubilation to end the show as they paraded around the hall.
When I get Himm2's DVD with the audio recording, I'm planning to do a similar video that I did for Haley's GBTC. (will also add the vinyl 'crackle and pop')
Irvin made a very heartfelt speech at the beginning about his Father before the song, and I think the performance is worth the audio quality that was in the radio broadcast of Haley that have been posted. I agree, one of the best performances of the night.
Also, I remember really enjoying the Dee Dee Bridgewater's song...called something like "It's Here, where I want to be", I'd like to do that too...
