Not to duplicate the Interscope thread...this is a discussion, from the viewpoint of Haliens, as to the process and prognostications of Haley's Adventure.
If we go back to the release of 'Free' and look at the comments by many of us at the time...It just didn't feel like a hit song. It's very ironic that it was the only song she did not have any creative influence over. Taken as a whole the album is excellent, but the featured single was not a standout hit. In spite of this, Haley seems to have impressed enough people in the industry to set herself up for many more opportunities in the near future.
Like others on this forum, I would love to see some of the other unreleased songs she previously recorded find the light of day with another label. I'm not sure how that will be accomplished, but Haley has her work cut out for her on the creative songwriting side...more excellent music, that usually works in the long run.
I'm still optimistic for her success, not just survival, in the entertainment world. She has a huge upside, as we all will faithfully attest to.
