By spreading her songs for free, even before they can be purchased, what incentive is there to go out and actually purchase something you already have?
Is this basically akin to 'killing the goose that lays the golden egg'?
Instead of nurturing and rewarding the goose so it can continue producing, we snatch the egg as soon as it's laid, suffocate it, starve it (not getting money, credit or sales it should), all the while telling it how much we love it, ... how much longer will that goose be making that egg?
Like I said, I have no answer, other than to say that hopefully, her people learn and try to take more care in securing her material, but I have my doubts in the twitter/digital/technology age.
