I saw this musical performed in Aspen Colorado over a year ago and I enjoyed it but it would extra special with Crystal as the lead.

hmmm...what's Lee DeWyze doing these days??... oh yeah - performing in bars around his hometown.

While not on the subject of Smash, it's nice to see that something good is happening for Crystal (other than "Farmer's Daughter" doing rather well in sales when it was released.) It's somewhat ironic though. I don't think Crystal sees herself as a country music singer, and with the exception of the sad message in "Farmer's Daughter" that would lend itself to the country audience, I don't see/hear her as a country singer. However, if country fans wish to embrace and support her, then more power to her and them. She's far too talented to let that talent lie fallow under some rock (or cloud or...) That she lost to Lee is likely the worst travesty on AI that ever happened. (As horrifying as Haley losing to Lauren and Scotty was, this was even nastier.)
