.... So the losing streak has extended to 8 games and even 'perfect' Felix could not stop the bleeding....
On the bright side, my mission has taken another smaller step, hopefully, forward.
I thought I had spare LU cd's, I did have one, but it was one I got a year ago in LA (not even the delux

) but for some reason, I felt I should keep it (sentimentality?

). I figured I'll stop by a Walmart and pick another up. In case I couldn't find one, I burned a CD with just OM on it.
In hindsight, I should have brought the non delux one instead of roll the dice the WM will still have LU in stock, and giving a burned CD doesn't leave a good impression. An unopened, bought CD, I think, sends a better message.... Luckily there was one left (among maybe 5 of Casey's CD), it was the bonus songs CD
Once we settled in at the All Star Club, by the top of the 3rd Inning, I made my way out to the desk Concierge.
Normally, I'm not a big fan of going to high end places where people faun all over you and are uber cheerful and eager to please. I'm one that usually likes to get to my seat asap and not need to get into a conversation about how my day is.... That is the way it is in the Suites, at Safeco. They employ extremely helpful and cheerful people to greet you at every corner. It is this I'm hoping to exploit to increase the chances (however small) of giving this idea a chance.
When I approached Monica, and asked her if the marketing people work at Safeco, and I was wondering if there was a chance I could meet one. I could tell by Monica's look and body language, she was thinking...."oooooh kayyy, what's this guy trying to sell...?"
What she did say is, "Yah, sometimes, is there anything I could help you with?" I briefly talked to her about my intention and that I had already received a reply from marketing that they will 'see if it's a fit'... I guess my explanation must have been convincing because her body relaxed and her demeanor was less guarded and more helpful.
I gave her the unopened CD I had just purchased and pointed to the first song, "Oh My", she understood the phrase's connection to the Mariners. "I just want to suggest they give this a listen to see that it does fit. I figured to facilitate this by dropping off the CD for them to listen to"
By now, it was obvious to Monica my intentions, her body language changed and she was more engaged, taking down the info, which track to listen to, my number and email address.
By the end of the night, I stopped to thank her, and she cheerfully said she had already contacted someone in marketing and they would give it to the person involved. She told me she gave them all my contact info. and handed me her business card.
I've pushed it as far as I can now. Hopefully, I have done enough to get them to at least give the song a listen.... It's now up to OM to convince them...
Fingers crossed
