Sorry I got off on a rant on this, but...
I think alot of fans feel your frustration, but we need to remember that it's been only a year since "Free" and LU, she is in the infancy of her career in the industry. It's possible she thirsts to learn more about the industry before she makes her next commitment to a label.
At this time, I think she is taking advantage of the opportunities that she finds has opened up to her. Ole appears to have made a significant move in helping her grow her career by allowing to participate in "Industry" related activities like in Greece.
It's been said that she really only got into Jazz when she went to High School, and has pretty much stayed that course since. Jazz piqued her interest and she's been seeing what she can do with it since. I think the same thing is true in this part of her career. Ole might have approached her and said, since you got some time, there's this thing you might be interested in Greece. So the opportunity was there to deepen her experience in song writing.
It's possible that she is, ATM, absorbing all she can about the business to prepare herself for the next step, After Interscope, so that she has even more control of her path. (even if she seems to follow a muse only she sees or understands
)

She is extremely confident and has said she doesn't live in the past/looks forward, I think she knows that success is in her future if she follows her passion. Her parents have taught her what 'success' is (ie raising a happy, loving, talented family), so she has a firm grounding as her launching pad.
Right now, it's about learning as much as she can about the career she will have for the rest of her life (I think Haley has taken Tony Bennett's advice with her about always learning)
