If she had given a small hat tip to a fellow artist who is also a 'favorite' of hers... would have gone a long way to making me feel better about this.
I could be wrong, but if Haley was going to introduce a song that was written by a favorite of hers, she would have given them credit... How often have we seen interviews where she is giving credit to people (producers, inspirations, song writers)?
It seems the urge is to give Haley special treatment, but I don't have any problem with Christina's promotion of her album. How often has Haley credited Busby for Free? Haley usually gives the Beatles a lot of credit, but has she mentioned that
Baby It's You was written by Burt Bacharach (and Mack David and Barney Williams)?
Haley has remarked that she wrote all of the LU songs except Free, but how often did she mention her co-writers on those songs? She has talked about some of the favorite people she has worked with, but rarely linked thme to specific songs. I don't recall Haley
ever mentioning Mozella or Aimee Proal.
I recall Christina gave Haley a shout out after LU was released, but she is concerned with her own career. I don't think she has ever said much about Haley.
