Of course, this is a Haley-centric opinion, this is a Haley blog after all. I acknowledged in my opening sentence I understand this is a big step forward....
I remember her giving hat tip to co writer on "Oh My", didn't she also direct a songwriter to her 'jazzed up' version of "Free?" (I'm not good at remembering names and such, who she credited)
As I said, I understand it's a business, and bottom line, being a song writer will be as important to Haley's success in the Music industry. I get that this is a positive thing for her.
But given her 'journey' up to this point, it just feels like another undervaluing of her talent as a performer, which she is excellent as.
As a 'long time' fan who has had to suffer the 'slings and arrows' from 'Haley Haters' and doubters for over two years (quote overload

), is it too much for a Haley fan to receive even the slightest of public validation? Getting good public buzz about Haley from beyond our Halien bubble? I guess that may be what bothers me about another 'under the radar' recognition of talent that we here all can see...
Just one person's opinion, a 'fan's' opinion, at that. I'm sure Haley and the Reinharts view this as a HUGE thing for Haley and are extremely happy for her
Being able to write songs that others can sing, being successful at it, will open doors for other, bigger name performers to use songs she has written as well. Bigger Names, Bigger Hits, more units moved = Money and Reputation increases for Haley...

Like I said, I know nothing about her, just what others who do follow her have posted. I've read that she has mentioned and has said that she's a fan (of course, it's all hear say)
