My thanks to all the lucky Halien's who were invited to this event and posted comments, pictures and of course videos- which we hunger for the most. As a devoted fan it is very hard to be patient waiting for the 'what's next', meaning the release of new songs or a real tour.

I am wondering if the delay has to do with her old contract and a waiting period, like a year (hopefully not longer). It sounds like Haley is equally anxious to satisfy her fans so I will wait it out with the rest of her fans.

I do hope her first new song officially released is one that will really get more people inside the "Haley-door" to enjoy that great voice and style that hooked us. I love her new songs, but I'm not sure "My Cake" or "Better" are "those" songs. IMO from Listen Up it was "Oh My" or "Undone". It isn't easy getting a larger audience inside the door and it doesn't mean the song is the best song, just a song that gets your attention. (When I first heard Lana Del Rey, I did not like her or the song at all... fast forward a year-plus later and I listened to the right song, and I am inside the Lana-door, loving all her songs because of her voice.)

Hard to explain how it happens but once your inside the Haley-door, you will listen to and love almost anything... including "Blue" despite the fact that you generally dislike country music

Haley, from what all..each and every person quoted, star or fan, seems like such an engaging person that I'm jealous to never have been in her presense.

That being said.. I've seen a real pattern in her musical evolution...that wanders from the personal spark I saw/heard/felt

- RE Blue - I loved the idol so much more, like WW&WSNB(BG) and.. this Undone was sad.. not the album version that seemed to me to emphasize the grandeur of love... ruing that if flittered off elsewhere and left the singer devastated... but about grandeur.

Putting on my armor - I'm afraid I'm slipping away from Haley as she matures... it hasn't been just one song.

Somehow, just after that Stageit performance with Notto... she seems to have gone into a more realistic phase... and I need dreamers of a perfect world...revelers...those that look at the sad as a contrast to how it really should be.. that nirvana just around the corner that due to unfortunate circumstances didn't quite make it...

Haley put a twist on every idol song that way...the tragic "I who have nothing" also seemed like a ballad to love... "diamonds" sparkles so warmly. "Blue" sounded, somehow like a song of possibilities.

I really dislike some legendary musicians.. Bob Dylan for one....very mixed feelings for the attitude the permeates Bruce Springsteen songs ... and I love the grateful dead(which is a love or hate group..with more haters). I love Mozart's operas and many of his concertos but I have to turn off his masterpiece symphonies (i'm not knocking the symphonies one bit.. that attitude of the order of the world they paint just isn't for me)

I know Haley is GROWING.. and I know that Interscope snub and the grueling schedual and uncertainty of the future has got to have a subtle undertone no matter how positive a person she is (and she still is a ray of light in an interview etc... but an artist being soulfull will tend to let out some undertones they really want to express)

The big exceptions... of that light airy Haley...seeing silver linings in every dark cloud as she sings.... seems to be when she's with Casey....

... it's like Casey lifts a burden from her shoulders and she's... well that joyous giddy way she's sitting in that Casey video .... somehow she brought some of that to every idol performance... I mentioned Blue and I who have nothing and WW&WSNB...but also Rolling in the Deep and somehow cleansed a dated different time and place folky edge to Janis Joblin .... my only exceptions from idol were her HOTR which I never liked as it missed the beauty of past-present-and-future transcending any one person , Rhianon confused her a tiny bit and the bitter You Oughta know was nonredeemable.. even by Haley.

People love that "you oughta know" . It's a huge hit that made Morsette bundles. I get why people can appreciate it -there is something there musically and emotionally. But, it is not a sentiment I need to hear.... or choose to hear... it doesn't lift me. I don't need ditzy happiness.... I cry at weddings and funerals...because of the beauty of family's journey's (different emotions if young children were left behind.. might be some anger there - but don't want a song about that lol)

So... geeze ... I really (selfishly) hope Haley gets to tour with Casey... or some big money comes her way to ease any underlying doubts she has... or some charming , taking-two-steps-at-a-time guy comes along and sweeps her off her feet. And they wander forward with the sun on their shoulders and the wind at their backs... and they sing about posibilities..maybe about children ahead ; )

it will happen ! ... the streets we're on are paved in gold!
