I know I'm fatigued, especially watching Idol. Many have said they like the honesty of Harry's critiques, and he has stated "I'm a judge not a mentor". However, why am I watching the show, if according to the judges they can't sing in tune, don't connect with the song or lyrics, don't move well on stage, and these are the best out of the 75,000 that auditioned?
At least on The Voice we are entertained by the judges competing with each other, along with their enthusiasm for the singers on their team. Even if the contestants have extensive semi-pro backgrounds, most of America has not heard of them, which means they may have many of those skills Harry seems to think the Idol contestants do not have.
The good news...Randy seems to be experiencing some payback, as his incompetence reveals itself in the mentoring role...Karma is a b*tch Randy!
