I was feeling hungry
When you caught my eye
I was feeling weak when you came on by
I couldn’t hear nothing
But your fast beating heart
Can’t help myself when I want something
--?--
Take me for the prisoner I am
And I pray you survive
Take me to a foreign land
Then just leave me there to die
I was flying high
See ya down below
I was flying by
See you moving slow, yeah

Won't you stop me before ---? again
Didn’t mean to cause no trouble
Didn’t mean to follow you home
Didn’t mean to watch you struggle
I just couldn’t let you go
Didn’t mean to cause no trouble
Didn’t mean to follow you home
Didn’t mean to watch you struggle
I just couldn’t let you go
etc
I'll take a shot at that missing verse I think you've got the words pretty right start to finish .. good job.
"Thats where I sweep in,
Won't you stop me before ?we (?Tell this?) again ?
My interpretation is that it's literal meaning is about a girl or guy making a pass at someone while they happened to encouter someone and flirting.... but knowing at they flirted that the other was involved with someone else (not like married necessarily, more like confusing someone on the fence with someone else?)
In the more literal take I'd make the "take me prisioner" is more like "I should be punished for this" (which is sort of a suggestive sort of way of putting that) with a bit of hyperbole "I really belong on a desert island for this ... you should take me there" haha
--- metaphorically I feel its like a yearning to be mischevious and tasting the pungently flavorful complications of mood doing something slightly out of what is the straight and narrow creates.....tasting what you want then tasting and willingly navigating the aftermath? ? lol ok I like this sort of poetry...
... I don't really form those ideas concretely in my mind.... I just feel a certain mild sort of indulgence to do what you want despite apologizing and willing to face some consequences.
(everyone can of course have it mean something else to them.. just the feel to me)
