Yeah, it is blocked here in Germany, as are half of the videos that get posted. There is a national organisation, GEMA, that collects fees every time an artist's material gets played anywhere, and the money is distributed to the artists and labels; and that organisation has been in a battle with youtube for many, many years, where the organisation insists on a notable fee per play and youtube is offering much less, and so that national organisation has forced youtube by court orders to block millions of videos that stream ok most everywhere else on the basis of appropriate deals in those places. It is really annoying, a meeting of backwaters thoughts with the modern age. The user suffers along with the artists. Or has to use proxy servers, which doesn't help the artists either! I guess the dinosaurs are not extinct, nor are the media mogules that try to avoid any responsbilities. Entrenchment on both sides, for many years, and counting.

Can you use a proxy server such as http://www.xroxy.com/proxy-country-DE.htm? It should allow you to create a YT account as though you are "a U.S. local." I used to use one of these back when beloved freemantle was trying to ruin our day with their domestic restrictions on Haley vids.
