Unexpected vitriol
I and others tweet it now and then. There are a few Haliens out there that will tweet a string of Haley videos every so often, so it does still gather views. I still think it's a great effort

she telegraphed what to expect was her vision for the video and I think they executed it better than even I expected.
Harry said as much
a week before the video came out. In their mind, it didn't matter how well the video did, they were proudest that they were able to accomplish what they'd set out to do, by themselves, unfettered, their creativity and they were very proud of it.
It's a bit of a bummer we will never know how many views Yahoo took away. 'Only' 50K views looks underwhelming to others who don't know that the views on Youtube is not accurate how many people have viewed the video. Haley indicated they did VERY well the day of the debut, but unfortunately those numbers can't be added to the Youtube count. I think if the true view count were known, some may not have as dour an opinion of the video as they do. I think some of the complaining comes from people seeing the YT view count and voicing their opinion on why it 'failed'....
On the Other Hand, as Haley told us, she learned some lessons with that part of the process, but couldn't be brought down about it because she was so elated at what she and her friends were able to accomplish
