Watching this video really reminds me of Haley's SMYM 'strategy' with Yahoo's exclusive. Casey had been posting that it would debut tomorrow, then suddenly Billboard has an exclusive. I think the thinking might be to get paid for exclusive rights, so they don't have to go through an unknown quantity, especially as there is no real promotion behind it, and many people will just download for free anyway.
I think that's what Haley did for SMYM video instead of trying to 'sell' it on iTunes. It's cash up front for exclusive premiere?
Or am I 'overthinking' it ?
